The couch co op is a big plus

Was looking forward to couch co op for diablo 4.. until I found out they removed that feature for the pc version

Just noticed the Capcom Arcade Stadium has added Enigma drm, which is a shame as I was interested in owning some of those games

Shame this new ones using denuvo, hopefully they'll be no other nasty surprises like microtransactions or something

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but no changes from GE gets backported into Proton since they contain video codecs and other libraries that cannot be distributed unless a license is paid to allow it. That's part of it yes, Valve cannot legally provide support for the codecs used, GE works around it.

As for "backported into mainstream Proton", a lot of what is pulled into GE is directly from upstream Proton (and it's related packages) just it's sometimes faster (but again, less testing and no real support).

Shame too since having the old pc versions of re available drm free is a big win for preservation, but having licensed codecs takes away from that abit

I'm glad there's workarounds with these sort of things, same reason I can enjoy my wireless xbox controllers on linux using official dongle as well

According to the Steam forums they fixed some issues and introduced others.
But I think the problem is that even if the game was practically bug-free, by now way to many people lost interest in it. That is a death sentence for a multiplayer game. :sad:

Ya I remember the original version getting updated to no longer rely on gamespy

Seems like this new version is completely pointless (at least for pc users) .. splitscreen is the only reason I could see myself ever buying it

The fact they added integer scaling and modern controller support is a nice touch too

Great stuff! Konami should put Silent Hill 2 on gog as well along with the community made Enhanced Edition patch
