My favourite thing about this trailer was that gun feeding heads into it

More doom is never a bad thing!

So much for preservation, the classic Delta Force games are getting delisted

What I find annoying in this particular case, they didn't give people much time

Pretty sure most companies give people time to buy them, and normally put them on sale at the same time

Quoting: Mountain ManWhy do people keep poking the bear? It's not like Nintendo is going to suddenly say, "Fine, you win. We will stop attempting to protect our intellectual property rights."
Yes, why do people keep doing what's right in the face of an idiotic legal system. Silly protesters with their values. We'll never understand. When the deck's stacked against you, just roll over immediately, that's what I say.
Yes, let's just ignore all laws we don't like or find inconvenient. Anarchy always works out the best for everybody.
The home country of Nintendo (Japan), the legal age of consent was 13 years old. This was only changed last year.

Law has nothing to do with right vs wrong.

Nintendos only official way to play this game is with a subscription service, which offers sub-par emulation. Compared to this, which offers high resolution, high framerate, widescreen and more.

Yes I'm sure they're loosing SOOOO much money because an old n64 game now has a pc port /s

I really doubt Nintendo would be able to do anything to stop this, especially when it's already out there (like yuzu)

Thankfully because they released their recompile tool for others, it means we're going to see ALOT more Nintendo 64 ports to come 😊

Amazing what fans can do

From what I've seen online, the game looks incredibly bad (or was at launch anyway)

Honestly get tired personally with unreal engine titles having shader comp stutter and the like, in a racing game especially is practically game breaking

Hopefully that tool will mean more n64 ports much easier

Honestly these things are a godsend, perfect dark pc port in particular is my favourite as I loved that game growing up

Quoting: Mountain ManWhenever I hear people talk about "game preservation", it always sounds suspiciously like, "I want free games."
Does that apply to companies like take-two and rockstar games?

After all, they're selling games like Manhunt and Bully which include Razor cracks to bypass their own drm

And switch games aside.. legacy games that are rare, how is that stealing money?

No, it's not an excuse to pirate like you imply. Some games WOULD be lost to history if not for the community, that's a fact.

Quoting: emphyIf you don't want future nostalgia be held hostage by such, do not play their games. They are much overhyped and overrated any ways.
Yup nintendo aren't exactly great at looking after their legacy games, I despise how they put old nes, snes ect. games behind a subscription service

Same time though, you can only do so much with consoles when it comes to preservation.. it's always going to be PC where the real preservation of software happens

Personally don't consider their games overhyped, switch has some fantastic games. but I paid for my games and I intend to preserve them and ensure I can continue to enjoy them (even if it's not on my actual switch console)

This might finally be a good excuse to dust off my old vr headset

Shame the trailer shows nothing, hope it will be as good as alien isolation was
