@such

Agree, it's "preservation" in the sense that we can back up our offline installers

But true preservation means everyone being able to access the content, now and in the future

But GOG gets games pulled from sale just as much as any other storefront, not much they can do about that however.

I love the drm-free offline installers but they're a business and it doesn't seem right asking for donations

Halo: Campaign Evolved announced for release in 2026

I'm skeptical, in my opinion 343 have never really done a good Halo game, they came close with infinite but had too much missing and too many issues

Splitscreen is going to be console-only.. again.

Also I don't think there's been mention of the iconic multiplayer? I don't want to sound so negative, just really love Halo and always get disappointed by 343

I do still plan on getting a steam deck, I mostly play indie or older titles so I know it'll run most of what I want

Love how much developers seem to be embracing the deck eco-system

Croc Legend of the Gobbos remaster is coming to Steam with more upgrades

This comes at a time when I'm thinking about going back to using steam as my main store, been mainly using gog past couple years

Same time Croc is the sort of game I'd want to have an offline installe, alot of fond childhood memories with this one!

Using llms and then when people raise concerns he just says "Feel free to fork the project under a"

Couldn't even be bothered to give a proper reply, shows how much he cares I suppose.

For me I'm just shocked but suppose I never knew the lead of this engine was such a massive knob-handle

Hopefully retail projects like selaco will move over to this new fork

Really disappointing reading this, gzdoom deserved better

MARVEL Cosmic Invasion gets a demo with Native Linux support

I feel like the lack of impact from the sounds of hitting people is a trailer thing, with the music turned up

This looks really cool, I liked shredders revenge and it's great to see them doing another native linux port

Also shredders revenge is drm-free on steam, no client needed! Hopefully be the same with this title

Raspberry Pi 500+ announced as their premium desktop keyboard PC

Wish they'd go back to full sized hdmi

Looks neat, though I prefer the idea of using a pi for little projects.

I use my pi4 as a syncthing server for my batocera saves between devies, and my pi3 I have inside a sanwa joystick (monster joystick)

I went back to Firefox quite awhile ago now, couldn't remember the reason now but was for some equally BS reason

Tempting to try some of these new (at least to me) exotic browsers like Brave

But Firefox has always been my favourite, I only switched to chromium and chrome a few years ago because people made fun of me for still using Firefox lol
