Valve making steps to address toxic behaviour on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Quoting: fagnerlnA little off topic, I was talking with someone about Proton and how intrusive anti cheats blocks it, and I was thinking about why there's no anti cheat based on AI.

On CSGO I do some "overwatchs" and there's a lot of obvious cheaters, with wallhacks, aim, speed hacks, etc, really easy to catch, so an IA can do the job. Looks like it's really easy to bypass VAC, but I think that it's a lot harder to bypass a AI.

Maybe an IA can detect a toxic player too
The future I can see is fabulous.
First, the AI will be well trained, as they are being now, to understand, catch and ban cheaters.
Then, the AI will be trained, to watch, report and mute toxic players.
Then, we will play happily a lots of counter strike games.

Then, after more training, the AI will... strike on the humanity, and Skynet will rise.
Then, we will have to use our counter strike abilities to fight terminators and survive...

Me 25 years ago: I want to play NEO GEO games, but It's impossible. They are too expensive.
Me 19 years ago: I can play NEO GEO games! There are NEO GEO emulators!.
Me 7 years ago: I would like to play Halo in linux, but It's impossible. Microsoft will never allow it.
Me today: I can play Halo in linux!. There are Win games emulators!

Conclussion: If you think something is impossible, wait until some emulator does the job.

Ahhhh! Now I understand their bussines model:

Step 1: Copy every Blizzard franchise. (Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo). And release it multiplatform.
Step 2: Wait until Blizzard says: No offline mode for single player games (Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo). And no Linux at all.
Step 3:
Step 4: Profit.

Sounds great to me.
I wishlisted both.

Excuse me but I don't trust this man.
Couple years ago he writes an article on a media saying that MS store is harmful.
Then he releases his flagship game for every system on Earth but Linux.

Lets count which platforms is Fornite available for: Xbox, Playstation, Switch, Windows, MacOs, Iphone, Android. Do you miss any? Don't?

And now he says 'If most PC games were automatically compatible with Linux, it would greatly increase the viability of Linux as a consumer platform'

No one sees irony here?

Or maybe it must be that writing words must be much easier than writing code.

Oh my.
I want to touch this time for the last time.

Finally, statistics prove what we already knew. So many people have finally played Witcher 3 in linux. If they would have released it natively, the game would have had a lot of sales!

Darwin Project no longer works in Steam Play, due to Easy Anti-Cheat

Quoting: YupyI messaged EAC 2 months ago about Steam Proton their reply was:

Hello Romeo,

Thank you for contacting us!
Steam Proton is currently not supported by Easy Anti-Cheat. We're looking into possible future support however and will notify the players if and when that happens. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

If there's something else you need assistance with, let us know.
Despite the trouble have a fantastic day!

Also a reply from Scavangers Studio about supporting Linux on Darwin Project:

Hey there, thanks for reaching out to us! A lot of us on the team would like to, but this is not currently planned. Write back if you have more questions!
Don't reach them. Reach Valve. Reach Proton support forums.
They're who, proudly, want to make all the games playable in linux.
They will do their best to make it compatible by fixing things in proton's code by programming, or by making deals with the developers.

Remember Soul Calibur 6 had a similar issue with multiplayer games and it was fixed.
Email them. Tell your problem. Say it in the forums. They should fix it.
