Crystal Dynamics is doing well ensuring all their AAA games get a Linux version.
Hopefully this serves as example to the rest of the companies.

I just bought the first part and I have fell in depression.
There is a serious bug in the main game menu, that makes the button 'back' irresponsive. So basically you can't use any game menu. I've reported it on the official forum on gog. But I don't know what kind of quality assurance can they have if they simply have this kind of bug in the main game menu, 2 years after the launch in 2016.
I wanted to play it badly, because this and the 'nightfall' dlc was going to be my psichologycal replacement in linux for the Batman: Arkham series.
Too bad.

Doom (2016) could have been on Linux, id Software made a Linux version sound easy to do

"So we did Linux dedicated servers for Doom 2016 and a few of us who are Linux heads in the studio decided, let's take it the full way. All we had to do was change the surface that we are creating for the Linux version and it just ran, out of the box and performance was equivalent...."
Words like that are the ones who make me open my veins.
If is that easy... why don't you do it??!?!?!?!?!

Star Citizen to use Vulkan instead of DirectX 12 and drop DirectX 11 eventually

... since the introduction of Vulkan which has the same feature set and performance advantages this seemed a much more logical rendering API to use as it doesn't force our users to upgrade to Windows 10 and opens the door for a single graphics API that could be used on all Windows 7, 8, 10 & Linux. As a result our current intention is to only support Vulkan and eventually drop support for DX11 ...Finally, and for real, a profesional developer stating something which has logic and fucking common sense.

Editorial: I ditched SteamOS in favour of a normal Linux distribution for my gaming

Liam, I support everyone of your words.
I ditched Steamos one year ago for the exact same reasons, and after suffering the same error.
I cannot work on a system who doesn`t offer good support for desktop operations, limit the experience only to games and crash from time to time. I have to use my pc.
The only reason is: games goes a little better here. And what? That's not enought to use a pc. I still can play good on ubuntu.
