Aspyr did a really excellent job on Borderlands and I have really high hopes on them.
On the Feral note, just got my hands on XCOM:EU (yeah I know, I'm a bit late on that one) and I'm loving the performance and stability. :)

Quoting: SabunI really love these guys, and Feral! I'm ready and waiting to buy their next game. I've already bought Borderlands The Pre-Sequel because of them (I've never bought a Borderlands game on release before).+1 on Feral and Aspyr respect!

Thanks for the great stream, pity I wasn't able to see it live, yet I'm glad that you put VOD up.
I've never had much interest in Total Annihilation series but this picked my interest in PA. Sad that they don't have a demo on steam... but I might pick up the full version in the beginning of next month.
Offtopic:
Pity that devs don't offer demos any more nowadays. It was a great way of testing out how the game runs on your system before buying imho. True that it takes away precious dev-time however I would think that it's not that difficult to make a demo version that only provides the first level or 15min of gameplay. (like Mafia2 did)

A Different Idea For The SteamOS UI

Since Valve has gone for more open source these days with SteamOS, I think that an excellent addition to it (including BigPicture mode) would be to add custom theme support just like XBMC has done it.
I'm not saying that it would be essential, far from it, however it would be a nice touch in the long run to see some great user-created styles. :)

As commented by "seven", the game has cometh a long way since the initial alpha.
Tried it about a year ago, even then it was playable and enjoyable. Will try again now to see how much has improved. ^_^

Shovel Knight - An NES Inspired Platformer Released On Linux

A unique quality that defined NES games for me... hmm. The simple graphics and difficulty.
Most of the games were so hard to beat that the act of actually beating a game was far more rewarding than beating most of the games nowadays. Yeah, I'm looking at you "Battletoads" and "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde". :D
The simple graphics part that made them special was, as I see it, mostly due to platform limitations. Developers really had to think how to represent the objects they want with optimal gameplay integration... but we all know how that ended up most of the times.

Never give up guys! Liam needs his time off to get back into shape. It's sad what had happened but time heals some wounds and hopefully he'll be in a better shape soon.
