Wine 3.5 is out with their own Vulkan loader and plenty of fixes for games

Quoting: zebHas anyone tried to run the Vulkan version of Doom 2016? It starts, but at the very beginning, during the Bethesda logo video, image stutters and freezes. I am using Arch, 64-bit, with a 64-bit wine prefix.
Doom has pretty much been working via Wine since its release. As it supports Vulkan API by default, there is no need for DXVK or similar as Linux GPU drivers natively support Vulkan anyway. Haven't tested it with wine3.x though, but I doubt they have broken it.
The last I tried it was with wine2.3-staging and it worked right out of the box with a fresh wineprefix - if the new one gives you trouble, you could try it with this older wine version.

Point & click horror game 'Without Escape' to have Linux support, launching April 24th

Looks like something up my alley - will definitely give this one a go.
I wish the game also had 21:9 support, however the lacking of it is understandable due to the pre-rendered nature of the product:

Witcher3 performance as per my testing seems to be around 1fps worse in comparisson with wine3.4... but that's, yeah, nothing to talk about.
CSMT pulls the performance down by 5-8fps for me, so just a clean wineprefix only with dxvk seems to have the best performance.

EDIT:
Also, some items in the game are missing still - like Kikimore eggs, they're invisible... it's fun trying to burn invisible items with Igni. :D

Can you hear that? It's the Steam sales train and it's arrived, also Steam Wishlist revamp

Oh no, with the wishlist revamp, they also removed old games from it which were no longer available on Steam... used to have Divinity 2: Ego Draconis saga there as a reminder... well, it's all just in my head now. :D

Some initial thoughts on the Logitech Driving Force G29 Steering Wheel

Looks great, but could use the shifter addon which is default with the G27 package - it makes the world of difference once you get used to it.
Also, please don't use the chasing camera when using the wheel - you set yourself up for a failure. Use the hood view or the internal view which doesn't show the hands - this is the way to go. Takes a while to get used to, but chase-cam makes no sense with a wheel. :)

It'll probably eventually run somehow in wine and the devs will call it a day.

The brutal FPS 'Apocryph' is planned for Linux, looks quite brilliant

Not another randomly-generated-bs-simulator? This stinks of Heretic and even Hexen to a degree... I love it! Definitely will keep an eye on this one. :P
