Editorial: I ditched SteamOS in favour of a normal Linux distribution for my gaming

I use SteamOS since brewmaster released as a console, don't have kb/m hooked up, only 2 controllers, and it's very stable to me, no (insert random color) screens, or bootloops so far. Played through couple of singleplayer games without any problems (Witcher 2, Xcom, Bioshock Infinite, Divinity OS), but i use it mostly for local coop with random people around me (thanks god Victor Vran local coop incoming :D ). Also i often use it as a Youtube/Netflix machine, both works fine from the SteamOS browser. So all in all i'm happy with it, and i don't need another desktop machine. The performance is not that great yet, but i'm optimistic with that, because it's improved greatly compared to early state.

I got my copy with Steam Controller, never installed it, still waiting for the Linux release, but this "We're working on it, can't reveal the date yet" is not too promising :/

Broforce local coop, Awesomenauts, Borderlands TPS, and plan to play again Pillars of Eternity now with both DLC -s, and waiting for Bioshock trilogy remaster Linux announcement ;)

Played around 3-4 hours, and it's running fine on the lower end, no bugs or glitches (r7 250X) SteamOS 2.86 beta :)

Tomb Raider gets its first Linux & SteamOS patch, performance improved in heavy areas

Yup, i made it to the Shipwreck Beach before the patch, without any graphic problems, or freezes (except the low performance), then decided to wait while the patch come. Latest stable SteamOS R7 250X A8 7600K.
