Running beautifully on my rig with radeonsi (AMD FX 8150, Radeon HD 7870 2GB with mesa 10.4 git drivers, Kubuntu 14.04 64 bit) with all the visual options set to the max (except FXAA) at 1920x1080 (full system specs at http://steamcommunity.com/app/49520/discussions/0/616189106749909144/#c616189106761620112) [External Link]

Played already 10+ hours and (aside from the SSE3 problem) I must say this is another quality port, just like XCOM and Civ V.

Quoting: gojulI confirm it doesn't load on my Phenom. Interestingly it works on the same machine under Windows (this machine has dual boot, and I hope it is the last one in such a situation)It works for me on my FX 8150, but that's a different processor. Sorry for you, guys :(

Quoting: jsa1983Is it working well with the mesa drivers? Just wanted to know, but I guess I'll be able to give it a try it later today.I can answer myself just in case someone is interested. The game runs ok with mesa (radeonsi in my case), but only if you set MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=4.0 MESA_GLSL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=400 %command% as launch options. For some reason the OpenGL 3.3 codepath only shows a black screen (music playing in the background, so it's not a crash).

Quoting: Crazy PenguinI presume campaign must be on the devs mind. But for that I think custom maps must be enabled first.Quoting: jsa1983So no campaign, no AI and no Multiplayer?!? Shame, it looks pretty good :(Quoting: subI guess it does not feature a single-player campaign? You mean like missions? At the moment, no.
Basically, at the moment it is a free play game which can start in 1850, 1900 or 1950 (if I recall correctly), with no AI competitors, but with financial/economic constraints (i.e., no sandbox game with "loadsa" money). A nice feature is that the maps are randomly generated (you can input the random seed so you can replay a map). I hope this answers your question.

I've played like 4 hr on Kubuntu 14.04 64bit (the game build is 64bit too), with a Radeon HD 7870 2GB with radeonsi driver (mesa 10.4git) @1920x1080, AMD FX 8150 and 16GB RAM. The game runs very well (it lags a big sometimes, but I think it is not related to the graphics, but rather the logic -ie CPU- part of the game). No graphical glitches with the mesa drivers. The graphics are beautiful and so far the game is enjoyable.
Based on the comments by the devs, they are looking forward to improving the game performance.
