Giving it a second thought... What about Icculus' offer to help porting games (https://www.patreon.com/posts/request-for-13971037 [External Link]? Does the dev know about that?

F1 2017 could be on the way to Linux, as Feral Interactive want to see demand for it

That's great news!! Dying Light is the only game I miss from the time I was using fglrx (about 3 years ago...?)
Dota 2 has massive changes to matchmaking that should give better games

Quoting: DamonLinuxPLCorrect me if I'm wrong, but I think de-linking a phone number requires a cool down period before linking it to another account. I think that was explained somewhere in the announcement. So unless you have several phone numbers, you cannot use regularly several Dota/Steam accounts.Everyone who wants to do ranked matchmaking now has to have a verified phone number on their Steam account. Accounts cannot share a number and free services available online for it are blocked, so this will help reduce troll accounts for sure.No it won't. If anyone have more than one account, they can easy disconnect from one account and connect it for second and again again and again. This takes only 1-2 minuts. So I think they not fighting with players who playing on not your's MMR , but fight with bots and farms of boosting account and items farms in China and Russia.

Sadly, I can't play this game right now with mesa (not going to bother installing amdgpu-pro).

Quoting: Al3sDoes it even work with mesa? Last time I installed it, it didn't even launchIt does launch but renders a black screen (intro video music playing and so on, just black screen). It's a pity. It's probably the only game I miss from the time I used fglrx just after I bought my old HD7870.

OpenGL vs Vulkan in Mad Max, re-tested

Quoting: fagnerlnYou can't measure a CPU overhead with an i7.That's the point. The CPUs used in the testing seem quite beefy. I myself have noticed frame rate improvement and much more smoothness with a AMD FX 8370 (low single core performance). I haven't tested the fixed OpenGL of the beta, but will do once I get some free time.
F1 2016 won't be coming to Linux, as sales of F1 2015 weren't strong enough

A big Formula 1 fan myself, even though I own F1 2015, I don't care that much about F1 games. I would be a lot more interested in them porting Project CARS 2 if Slightly Mad were to dishonour their vow again (quite likely, IMO). Project CARS is a great racing sim.

Great work, Feral! You guys can't stop amazing us, penguins.
Hehehe, seems like someone's going to have to make a windows port of "Linux Mad Max"... :D

You will want to force your CPU into high performance mode for Vulkan games on Linux

(You can use whatever method you like to get privileges. kdesu is just an example)

Quoting: KeyrockThanks for the heads up, Liam. I made two files, called gov_perf and gov_psav and copied the short scripts into them, then made them executable and copied them to usr/bin. That way I can issue the commands from any directory with a single word typed. I'm sure I could add gov_perf to launcher scripts of games so that the process is auto-magic. Now to figure out a way to make games trigger gov_psav upon exit...Maybe setting the following Steam game launch config works...
kdesu gov_perf ; %command% ; kdesu gov_psav (You can use whatever method you like to get privileges. kdesu is just an example)
