Steam Deck LCD 64GB and 512GB discounted until July 11

I only own the LCD Deck, but in my opinion it's no less worthy of purchase than the OLED model. I mean, Valve surely wouldn't have released it otherwise? And for me personally, the upgrades aren't really that meaningful. I mostly use it at home, so battery life doesn't matter. I don't think I need an OLED screen, as I'm perfectly happy with mine on the LCD Deck, and I don't really fancy screen burn-in that OLEDs are susceptible to. Also, the new WIFI chip wouldn't make that much a difference, as my internet speed is already slower than the old chip. Maybe the bigger screen + less bezels would be cool though. But that's not enough reason for me to buy another Deck. I bought the 64GB model and upgrade the internal storage to 1TB, that was certainly cheaper than paying premium for Valve's storage options

ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree DLC update causing problems on Steam Deck / Linux

LOL, I just read through the github issue of Elden Ring & AntiCheat issues… apparently someone had contacted the devs via email, and they responded that "Elden Ring is not supported on Steam Deck"… Can you believe that?

SteamOS 3.6.6 Preview for Steam Deck has fixes for ELDEN RING, system memory leak and more

Great to see so many fixes coming in, SteamOS 3.6 is starting to shape up quite nicely now! Are you running 3.6 or sticking to stable?
Tbh, I'm not really wanting to use anything other than Stable. I'm still a bit traumatised by my first Deck being defective, with countless freezes, crashes and general instability. I returned it, and the second one seems to be fine, so that's a win

Not surprising, considering Steam Deck still seems to be an afterthought for most publishers

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora now on Steam, broken for Steam Deck and Desktop Linux

This is an example of a great IP that was ruined by a horrible publisher. I will never buy from Ubisoft ever again, they're just one publisher I avoid at all costs, despite the fact I love the Avatar franchise and I was interested in this game. According to them, you don't even own the games you purchased, and they will make old games unplayable if you look at them wrong. I also don't need their Ubisoft Connect bloatware on my machine. Even if this ran perfectly on the Deck/Linux, still wouldn't buy it.
