Quoting: ZambzzBig godotengine fan here, will never use unity, but its nice to see they are finally getting their act together.I've used Godot and even made some code contributions to it, but haven't been able to actually switch to it due to ongoing projects. But, especially now that they're going to implement C# support very soon (and some of these projects are coming to an end), I hope to switch completely from Unity to it :)

Yes, great job by them! I know they were getting a little bit of flak for the lack of bug fixes in the editor, but they made it known that this is what they were doing instead, which to me was quite obviously a far better use of their time! :)
Thanks Levi, Na'Tosha and everyone else who has helped with the Linux editor :)

Quoting: Comandante oardoI prefer an inhouse port... what engine use this game?If I remember correctly it's actually a custom engine they developed for this and future Deus Ex games.

If it gets ported and the reviews are good I will pay full price. I almost always buy games on sale but would definitely make an exception for this one. :)

In the Twitter post just before this one a person asked...
GTuxTV: @AspyrMedia a new game? for #linux?
And they responded...
Aspyr Media: @gtuxtv Yep, a new game! Platform details will be unveiled between now and Thursday. :)
I know I'm reading into it quite a bit, but the attitude of the response seams promising :)

Where did the idea that PC means Windows? Being an ex Mac fan-boy (since Mac OS 7) I think this actually came from the Apple camp because they would always say in their marketing material "Mac vs PC". I think this then bled into the Windows camp that they'd refer to themselves as PC. So, I could be wrong, but I think the blame for PC meaning Windows actually stems from the late 90's Mac/Apple marketing and users.
Finally, I think this was solidified with the catchy Mac vs PC ads that Apple did in the 2000's.

Quoting: burnallI just hope they can distinguish between platforms. (PC != Windows) :)Agreed, haha :)

In my opinion this is the best open source cross platform engine out there. Juan said this on their latest Facebook post, "Version 2.2 should come out shortly with visual scrpting, c# support, new audio engine and multiplayer networking!"
I'm really looking forward to the C# support!!!

I've installed this as well and must say that this project is essential to playing games outside of Steam. It's also handy if you still have some games that you want to play under Wine.
