Unsurprisingly, this is broken on Linux (via Heroic et al.) for the moment.
Your best is still using gamma-launcher together with the DravenusRex guide discussed in earlier comments. The GAMMA team has some Linux users and they've been pretty open to supporting Linux (although never officially) so I assume the issues will get ironed out eventually. Sure would be nice to be able to reduce this absolute beast of a modpack into a one click install.

Surprising news. I assumed DRG was (understandably) put in maintenance mode while GSG is busy developing its quasi sequel.

I remember back when I bought Skate 3 on the PS3. Me and my brother decided to split the bill to save our broke college student wallets a little. Guess what EA was nice enough to include in the box? A one-time use code tied to your PSN account that was needed to give you access to most of the online functionality (including browsing and downloading user-created skateparks). So one of us was essentially locked out of that component of the game... unless of course that person spent yet another 10 bucks for a new code. We even sent in an appeal to EA to which the reply was unsurprisingly to get stuffed and give them some more of our money. It makes sense that the next logical step for EA was just making the entire game always online, very convenient for holding entire parts of the game hostage behind an always-online component. The scumminess of this company knows absolutely no bounds.
Stalker 2 version 1.5 actually sorts out the A-Life AI system, and modding support is here

I'll see it before I believe it.
They straight up lied that A-life was in on release, and continued lying about it until they realized the jig was up and everyone knew there wasn't actually any A-life. My trust for this company is completely rock-bottom and by default I assume any claims they make to be made up at worst or grossly exaggerated at best.

I'll pass on sending more money GSC's way for a lazily made re-release that's probably still outclassed by the original versions + community fixes after how they handled STALKER 2. Bonus points that I get to play it in its original, intended state without altered/removed content.
Monster Hunter Wilds looks unplayable on Steam Deck but good on Desktop Linux

Sure wasn't. Dragon's Dogma 2 was RE engine's first chance to prove itself being utilized for an open world game and, good lord, did it fail spectacularly.
To this day it's still a horribly unoptimized mess that brings even the strongest machines to their knees. It seems like not much has changed for MH Wilds, and more specifically it seems to be just as CPU bound as DD2 was.
My setup is exactly the same as Liam's with one exception: I'm running a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and oddly enough the average FPS I got at the end of the benchmark was 93 FPS.
That difference does seem quite massive simply by having a CPU that's one tier higher than Liam's, so I can't fully explain this away as the game being heavily CPU-bound once again, but still...

GOG launch their Preservation Program to make games live forever with a hundred classics being 're-released'

Valve OTOH obviously doesn't seem to be too concerned about ownership rights or game preservation, but gaming on Linux simply would not be in the excellent state it's in today if not for their efforts. So it strikes me as rather odd for a Linux gamer to unquestionably prefer one over the other. Both have had a positive impact on the ability for us to excercise our personal freedoms.

Quoting: BlackBloodRumNice, yet another reason to continue preferring GOG over Steam. :grin:This is not a black and white matter for me. I like GoG for their goal of preserving old games and offering them (alongside anything else on their store) completely DRM free, but their complete apathy towards a future free from Microsoft's monopoly, especially now that the road has been paved for them, doesn't sit well with me. You would think it's something a company like GoG/CD Projekt would be at least supportive of, but they don't care one iota.

Quoting: Mountain ManIt strikes me as one of those issues that people who look at their screens with a magnifying glass obsess over.Well it isn't. I never found myself caring much about display related oddities until I started being bothered by the permanent film grain effect darker games had on my OLED model, did some research and found out it was a very real phenomenon called Mura. The fact Valve actually addressed this in an update is telling enough, so far I'm not noticing much of an improvement however.

Improved display uniformity, under some conditions (Mura Compensation).Curious how much of an effect this will have. I've been waiting on this for a while. Either I'm just unlucky with my display or have the unfortunate tendency of noticing it much more than the average person, but the mura in darker games on the OLED model drives me nuts.
