Maaaaaybe! :D loved that film
Me too. I feel like it could have been really popular if things had broken a bit differently--I dunno, better marketing, or timing that didn't put it out just as fashion was moving to anime style, or something.

Steam Play passes six thousand Windows games playable on Linux, according to ProtonDB

Quoting: Luke_NukemSome people aren't really categorizing some games very well though. For example Carmageddon: Max Damage had a few Platinum ratings because it, well, runs. But it runs slower than a snail superglued to a bus stuck in a traffic jam.
Nice simile.

I chuckled at the end bit of the trailer.

Steam Play arrived on Linux one year ago, some thoughts

Quoting: thewhoFun fact: Most games which don't run on Steam Play don't work because of copy protection/DRM.
Fun surmise: In the end, copy protection/DRM won't stop Proton any more effectively than it stops pirates. Here's hoping, at any rate.

A look over Steam's top releases from July, plus some usual quick thoughts on Linux support

This is even better than it looks. I mean, in that top 20 there are no "borked" games and five "needs more reports". So, of the games with a definite status, 11 out of 15 are either native, platinum or gold, 4 are not so good, 0 are borked.

Mind you, this is apparently an unusually good month. But with a bit of luck the trend will be upwards and we'll see other months like this, and if Valve nails those anti-cheat thingies to the wall . . .

Quoting: 14This looks pretty cool to me. I'm a little nervous for them because it looks a little slower-paced. I don't think this is gonna attract the nil attention span of the Fortnite generation. But that doesn't mean it won't be successful. I just think it'll be a bit niche -- like EVE Online for example.
Yeah, a bit niche. But I think dino lovers is a pretty solid niche--not huge, but far from tiny, and probably quite loyal.

Areia: Pathway to Dawn aims to be a relaxing meditative adventure game

Quoting: no_information_hereLooks promising. However, the homage to Journey may be a little too close, with the desert, cape/scarf, and meditation points. I hope they don't get sued...
Be kind of incongruous to watch two serene meditate-y groups in a lawsuit.

Google reveal more games with the latest Stadia Connect, including Cyberpunk 2077

Quoting: grumpytoadDid anyone say that about their music streaming service before they ditched their entire CD collection ?
I still mostly play music from my CD collection. I have minority eclectic picky tastes and streaming services just never really did what I wanted. And yes, feeling like it's actually my music that I know I can have whenever I want is a nice bonus.

Quoting: ShmerlSo, Cybperpunk 2077 is confirmed for Stadia. Now CDPR have no excuse not to release for Linux proper :)
My understanding is, the excuse is they don't feel like it and some Linux fans were mean to them last time when they screwed it up.
