Review: Linux gave me one of my best gaming experiences yet with Life is Strange

I haven't tried Life Is Strange, it just doesn't interest me. There's nothing about it that makes me want to try it either.

Quoting: dmantioneI had such a feeling with The Talos Principle: I have played many fantastic games since the start of my gaming career on the Commodore 64, but I can't think of a greater masterpiece than TTP. And the entire superb experience all natively on Linux, in full glory.I totally agree with you, dmantione! The Talos Principle is the only game that gave me such pleasure playing, I was totally engrossed in its mystery from start to finish, and I was absolutely NOT let down in the end. TTP is indeed a masterpiece, and one of its kind. Especially since it seemed to come out of nowhere (who would have thought the creators of Serious Sam could make such as game?).

Looks like a cross between SOMA and The Talos Principle, two of my all-time favourite games. I'll definitely be watching this.
CD PROJEKT RED replied to me about The Witcher 3 and Linux, flat-out denying to answer any questions

And another company goes to my "NEVER-buy-from"-blacklist. CDPR will be sitting in nice company with Sony and other "great" companies.
GOG withdraw their statement about The Witcher 3 never planned for Linux, they have no idea

Really professional! ;-)
However, I'd also ask you Liam to gather a little more information before publishing an article. Please don't take this as blame, I generally like your articles, but sometimes it may be worthwhile to wait a couple days and ask around some more before publishing someone's unconsidered and unofficial comment.
As it is now, some articles are like ping-pong: X game will be out in a month! X game just got cancelled! X game was never cancelled/planned etc... Though I understand it may be frustrating with some of the incoherent comments you receive from official sources.

Disappointing. I would have bought this game, as it seems very interesting.
Oh well, I'll spend my money elsewhere then. Seems like this company doesn't want it.

I really hope they'll port Human Revolution as well, I played it about halfway through under wine a few years ago but never finished it due to lackluster performance with wine.
It would be great to be able to finish it natively and then play this new Deus Ex game.
As far as I remember, HR was awesome.

Last I tried ETS2 the Steam Controller still wasn't supported. Quite pathetic really...
(Apart from that it's a great game though).

No Man's Sky has been shown to work rather well in Wine on Linux

The only thing I use wine for these days is Lego Digital Designer and the occasional old windows game on my Steam library. And with the enormous number of Linux games, I never really get around to the wine games anyway.

Quoting: mcphailThe problem about buying a game to run on Wine is there is no guarantee the game is going to keep running when a new version or patch is released. This! The game might work now, but what is the guarantee that it'll continue to do so? A few months ago I looked at Subnautica, a game that'll probably never come to Linux. Initially it worked fine under wine, but now it doesn't (according to the Steam forums, I didn't buy it since I subscribe to No Tux No Bux). Any future update may make a wine game unplayable.
