Planetary Annihilation Major Update, Unit Cannon Makes An Appearance

I was about to ask what you meant with the "black screen bug", but since the last update my screen is just black if I start the game. It was absolutely fine before, have been playing it for over a year now (now and then) and apart from a few Shadow-Shader problems everything was pretty okayish. Not as good as I remember it from Windows, but still playable. Now it is not.

The Latest Feral Interactive Newsletter Was Rather Interesting

I disagree with their last point. There are over 1000 games on Linux and that's only Steam. I mean, I do enjoy gaming but I don't have the time to play all of those, nor am I interested.

I know it wasn't meant seriously, but still. I was kind of shocked when I saw that there are 1153 titles on sale on steam and these are just the ones available on Linux. (Which I find nice btw. Friend of mine was surfing on Windows and there it were ~6000 games or so. Sure, many smaller indie games, but still plenty! :))

"which (as always) is waiting on us to fix a million references in the code base to case-sensitive filename"
This is so stupid. NTFS and Windows would support case-sensitive filenames, but by default it's disabled in the Win32 subsystem. I guess the only reason for this is compatibility.

Still, I don't see why a decent programmer references files in lower-cased way (if their names are not lower-case) just because one system allows you to do so -.-

"hacked together compiler" doesn't sound too good either. Not yet sure if I do want this game or will pass.

I mean, I'm not paying good money to be a second class citizen.

Small thing, but I really dislike the new favicon.

I'll redesign some stuff on my side, like the topbar should scroll with the page and stuff like that, but other than that, it's rather pretty. There are no problems here, that couldn't be solved with a little Greasemonkey :D

SuperTuxKart 0.8.2 Beta Released

I'd love to help, but C++ is not the main language I work in, most of the time. Actually I'd call myself an less than average developer in that language, so... :/

Maybe I'll play around and try to reimplement the game in Scala or Rust xD

Steam, maybe later, we'll first have to get the stable 0.8.2 out. Thanks for the comments so far!
How about going Steam now (Greenlight), say you're Early Access and take a few bucks for further development?

Guys, I love what you do, you could even put a link in the description that this is free and open source elsewhere, but many people would pay for it I guess.

Of course you'd have to be really open with everything but still would get a lot of complaints of people who paid, unable to read they can get it for free elsewhere...
