Fedora proposal to drop 32-bit support has been withdrawn

Watch your step around here, this topic is hot lava

I think it is good that this discussion was started up again. This will eventually need to be addressed, and I understand there is a lot of overhead as a result of continuing support for it. The reality is, there are a lot of people who would be immediately left in the lurch and quite a few people having to pick up a lot of work they are not ready to do. I would have very much liked to have seen a list of core apps and features, top 100 list, that would stop working if not converted by maintainers. I think this would help paint a much clearer picture of the impact. The fact that Wine and Steam are called out directly in the proposal seems like it's pretty clear it is mostly games.

Pricing announced for the Orange Pi Neo gaming handheld with Manjaro Linux

I do sympathize with people who don't like Manjaro for some of the bad decisions over the last couple of years. However, nearly every one of us have been or are still active Windows users, and I think in some circles people give Manjaro a harder time than Microsoft. Ultimately, I am a fan of any Linux-based distro that I can install on my wife's computer or my neighbors' computer without any real issues. I am currently running Bazzite as my main PC, and she is running Mint, but I have had a great, solid and reliable time with Manjaro for years. In terms of getting a functional handheld that can compete with the Steam Deck or any Windows-based handheld, I am fully on board and I wish them all the lucks. More Linux in more places is only good for the people.

Manjaro is one of my favorite distros, and I am excited about these handhelds. I just hope they have something special to offer. The shape will have to be great, the screen amazing, control layout excellent, performance a grade above or the price must be very competitive to stand out. I, for one, am hoping they can make this work as a revenue stream for them while offering something special to gamers and Linux lovers alike.

I wish we had a little more granular control with the Steam overlay. I would like to resize and turn on and off some of the more advanced settings.
