Developer Who Sent A Death Threat To Gabe Newell Decided Not To Leave His Studio

Quoting: Xpanderi still think it was stupid to pull the game from steam.. it shows how much in control they are, if they dont like something they can just remove it..
ofc that death threat tweet was nasty as hell, but it wasnt meant seriously anyway, internet is full of those comments.

they could have settled this matter privately.. but pulling a game from steam because of that is still stupid in my eyes... i bought this game and i wont get updates to it anymore..how fair is that?
In the professional word, that doesnt fly. at all. you can't just say "it was not a serious comment" and get away with it. Mike acted like a teenage boy with testosterone overload and zero common sense, and his co workers and fans got hurt as a result. that sucks, but valve has zero reason to sell anything by anyone who sends death threats, serious or not. and considering that death threats can be charged as felonies in many states, mike is damm lucky that valve didnt decide to throw the book at him.

I'm also surprised that the studio let him back, either. friend or not, he screwed his coworkers over on their current project, why would they let him back?

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Released For Linux With An Explosive Trailer!

Do the save games transfer properly between platforms this time, or do you still have to manually rename them so linux can see them? that seemed like a MASSIVE oversight on BL2. please sat TPS doesnt have this issue.

PCGamingWiki Looks At Tropico 5 And Borderlands 2 Linux Ports
17 Oct 2014 at 1:40 am UTC

Borderlands 2 was a great port. works fantastically, even though intel gpus are not officially supported, runs smooth enough, and no crashes. the save game bug that prevents cross platform save games unless you rename the save files is extremely annoying. how hard would it be to tell the engine to save a file with a capital S instead of lowercase, and vise versa?

tropico 5, however, has been a pain. A update released after the linux release broke the game. when it launches, the cursor appears and music plays, but the background remains black. this happened for me (core i5 4300m, hd 4600) and both of my linux friends (one is a fx 6300 with geforce 660ti, and the other is a core i7 4790k with an r9 290x). none of us have been able to get it to work, which is very disappointing.

Borderlands 2 Released For Linux With A Sale

Core i5 4300m intel hd 4600, MINT 17 MATE 64 bit, works very well, despite intel gpus not being supported. Little bit of stutter at times, but not sure if that's from the gpu or the game not supporting intel in the first place.

Quoting: feketenapI bought the GOTY version instatly.. Sadly it crashes every time the main menu shows up... I hope this will be fixed soon. :(
OK, i've got a stupid question, did you verify the game cache? Mine did the same thing, verifying the cache made steam download a 0 byte file, and then magically the game worked properly. weirdly, i've had to do that to many games to make them work right.
