Yeah GOL Team, nothing major though, this will be for fun. People with bad attitudes wont be invited back :)

Again, add me on Steam if you want to group up.

Dead Island Definitive Edition and Dead Island Riptide: Definitive Edition released, seem to have hidden Linux versions

Oke i discovered that the issue I'm having (not launching) is because my HDD is formatted as XFS. Apparently Dying Light had the same problem. Weird as all my other steam games have no issues whatsoever.

[Edit]So if you are using XFS hold off on purchasing the game until they release a fix or when you want to change to a different filesystem.

Great to hear that it is running so well for others, but it for me it crashes on startup with the message:

Materials database was not correctly initialized. Please make sure that global_*.mp are present in Assets_XXX (platform specific) folder or build Data folder.

Anyone else with the same issue? (i didnt get the riptide edition, what is different, the storyline?)

I've had this game in my library for a while now, even though it's in early access still. Can only recommend this game, unless you aren't into arcade racers. It's great to see the developers being so active with it, and also listening to feedback etc. ^_^

Performance is about the same, this really is the only game that makes me want to boot Windows every once in a while...where I can get 50 fps in my city of 300.000 zoomed in, the Linux version only gets about 20-35 fps in the same scenario. Still my total playtime so far is about 130hrs

(my hardware basically consists of a gtx 970 and a 4690k)
