Quoting: Kimyrielle
Quoting: VreidicusPlaystation never released anything on steam i wanted to play so fine by me, bye bye Playstation..
I can't name you too many of their games I bought either, but I liked Horizon Zero Dawn / Forbidden West.
Never played but glad you found something you liked. :) Sure it do exist some titles i would have bought, like the Medievil remake and a old remaster of the ps2 gods of war games but that never released on pc. most likely, the will be crawling back at some later point, steam are to important to ignore.

Steam Survey for February 2026 shows a big swing to Simplified Chinese
2 Mar 2026 at 8:12 pm UTC

one big drawback with the steam survey is that the outcome depends on the choosen participants in the survey.
So it will most likely always be hard to know the full extent of the real percentage of linux users on steam.
Because less linux participants doesn't equate less people using linux at that very moment in time.
As others have stated i can fully imagine linux mint users ditching it for windows 10.
Some pc users will always need that corporation because everything outside it is unknown and scary.

Discord is about to require age verification for everyone

I do like the function discord offers (not nitro), but that function could most likely be found elsewhere.
so the question is where to migrate? a open source alternative would be very welcomed.
Because i refuse to scan my face to be able to use it..

Steam Survey for January 2026 shows a small drop for Linux and macOS
2 Feb 2026 at 3:04 pm UTC Likes: 2

I actually took part in this survey (Nobara Linux) most likely the first one in several years.
Besides the small drop, one interesting fact relating to linux on desktop.. i noticed over at globalstats, that from the period of december 2025 to january 2026 linux the marketshare of linux desktop rose from 3.86 to 4.01 percent worldwide.
So even with this drop i think linux as a whole is moving forward as a viable OS.
