I just noticed this morning there was an update for Terraria.
I play cooperative with my wife and two daughters and we LOVE Terraria.
So much to do, so many minions, bosses, ores and weapons to discover.
The crafting seems unlimited and there is always something new!
The very first NCP you spawn with will tell you what you can craft with any item.
Just click on him, then click crafting. When you inventory opens, put any item in the slot next to the crafting list and it will tell you what else you need to craft new stuff.

Work your way through a bunch of minions, using whats left of your health and then get obliterated by a boss with one hit. Respawn at the last bonfire, find out all the minions are back and repeat.

Quoting: FeistLove the game! It's frustrating as well as incredibly atmospheric.Sounds like Dark Souls!
To be honest, after having played the beta for 49 hours now, I'm not sure if I'll be able to endure it to the end credits. It's just that tough to spend several hours building up a "dream team" of adventurers, train them to the max, equip them with the best gear my hard earned gold can buy...only to have them all obliterated when the dungeon boss pulls an ace out of the sleeve.
Still, an amazingly addictive game and the only bug I have come across is that the "mini-map" you use for navigating the dungeon will sometimes fail to show up when I start a new dungeon. Easily fixed though, just pop back out to the main menu and then back again and the map will almost always appear (otherwise try again).

Yeah, it reminds me of Transistor. I wonder if it is a real-time action game or turn-based action game?
I'm not a big fan of turn-based fighting.

Quoting: GuestAlso no LAN mode unfortunately. But they are still undecided. So additional feedback/demand could help, too:I don't know what it is with games these days and no LAN. How are we supposed to play LAN parties without a LAN? Everything is internet only multi-player, which I totally understand, but what if my internet is too slow? What if I want to play LAN at a hotel or gaming conference?

Great beginning to a new release from Soldak. Din's Curse was a mediocre RPG with all the expected elements. Depths of Peril added a lot more detail, assets, graphics and depth. Drox Operative was a space RPG and totally unique.
With Zombasite, expect better graphics with specular, normals and bump maps... Expect even more weapons, armor magic and loot. So far its still beta, but their dungeon design is spectacular. They have no implemented unique sound effects yet so you will hear all of the Din's Curse sounds and animation is from Din's Curse.... They have added many additional creatures and zombies with find details. There is also a day/night cycle.
I can't wait to see what they add next!
To this date I have never seen anyone who managed to get a Windows based game which needs DX10 or above, to work. So if you find a way, I'd like to know how you managed to get it to work ;-)
Dang, I didn't realize it was a Direct X 11 title. Oh, well... guess I'll be waiting for their Linux binaries. Thanks for the "heads up"

I just got my Beta Key today, but windows only. I might run it in PlayOnLinux so I can play it for now, but looking forward to a native port.
I love Path of Exile, Torchlight 2 and Drakensang. Other similar games that run in PlayOnLinux are Drakensang, Titan Quest, Grim Dawn, Sacred and Sacred 2. Wine handles them just fine... well except Grim Dawn. IT worked perfectly until they updated Visual C+ to 2015 version.

It has come a long way! Just in the video above I notice new features I haven't seen before. I love the simplicity and sim-like experience with... of course... zombies. Survival has never been better. Not to mention a cooperative mode so you can survive with your friends.
Don't forget these guys made Survival Crisis Z

I have played all of their other games:
Dins Curse
Depths of Peril
Drox Operative
All of them are fun and unique. With every new game they overhaul the graphics and implement new features. As far as I can tell they have a small team of developers and a custom engine. They know their engine well and can bust out many different games with it. Check out Drox Operative! Same engine but space exploration RPG with a lot of action, customization and loot.
Each game has Linux support and it seems they will continue to support Linux!
I thank them by purchasing their games directly from their website.

Don't Starve: Shipwrecked DLC is now available on SteamOS & Linux

I love Don't Starve Together so much that I purchased two copies so my whole family can play "offline"
Yes, runs offline in a LAN or you can play online.
At first it was almost impossible to stay alive because the default server settings are waaaaay too hard. We couldn't even last 10 days.
Then we found there are presets and customization settings for the server so you can make it much easier.
- Vegetation can grow back quicker
- Set more spawning of harmless animals
- Set less spawning of harmful animals
- Remove bosses completely
On top of that there are a LOT of mods that can make the game easier as well. Now you can play with your friends at your own pace.
Shipwrecked looks amazing and hopefully will be added to the Don't Starve Together game.
