This looks really nice and fun. I think it looks like a worthy game on our platform and I shall buy it.

Updated. Whilst I still have Windows on the pc, it no longer gets booted, and the games on its gaming partition get loaded through wine now. I stopped booting it when it prepared to install the anniversary update as I didn't want it to trash my Linux.

Guys, just for interest, the bug with the glowing mess after you go out of inventory has dissappeared, and the light rays look better. I don't think it's necessarily Vulkan, but they've certainly tidied up the Linux version I think.

Nvidia 375.26, 340.101 and 304.134 driver releases are now available

I'm not sure what I've installed (call me noob!) EDIT - OK it's 375.26. I did sudo apt-get install nvidia-375. I was on 355 after a newer version broke Shadow of Mordor ages ago. I'm finding lots of little (predictable) lag spikes which is upsetting - both on Shadow of Mordor and much older Portal 1. Tempted to roll back a driver version and check again - I think I would have noticed these spikes before though, and it would have put me off gaming on Ubuntu. CPU is 2700k which shouldn't matter...

Helium Rain, a realistic UE4 space simulation game is coming to Linux in 2017, looks brilliant

I like it! The only thing that worries me is the limited space around poi and whether that takes away realism ( for me, I appreciate everybody is different ). I will definitely buy this though! Newtonian bullets :-)

Ooh looks good. So regarding the flight model is it planes in space or proper skidding around Newtonian stuff?
