Quoting: GustyGhostI have no problem with building form source except for programs that pollute the rest of my system. Does Supertux Kart stay neatly in it's source folder?

Before you compile you can set the prefix (aka the 'make install' location) to any folder you want, for example I always 'make install' to a folder in my home directory, usually it's /home/user/output. You can do the whole process without using sudo once, I then zip it up and copy it to my other machines :)

The Long Dark's third story episode has been delayed, revamp of first two episodes due next month

So according to the 8th Nov update, they got a plenty of new resources and talent which is a good thing, but not a single word about why the game has been pulled from GOG.

I didn't buy the game yet and unless it comes back to GOG I never will.

I won't judge, but with MS' history my expectations aren't high either.

I've been going up and down about pre-ordering this, it was looked quite promising and it was the closest thing to X-COM that I could buy as a GOG user. A shame really, I was really looking forward to it and I definitely won't buy it to play in Wine either.

It all strikes me weird though how they decided to drop it (and from the looks of it cause of OpenGL), their previous game Chaos Reborn was released more than 3 years ago and still works great on any system I've thrown it at.

Looks like an exciting update, will give this game another shot when it lands (pun intended) :-)

The Long Dark is leaving GOG tomorrow although it will still get updates

I think there's a different reason than this SJW stuff. Tbh I didn't know about the tweet until I read about it on the forums and hell if I knew what the hashtag even meant, I find twitter quite stupid and never bothered to open an account.

Some people mentioned something about consoles and a new publisher, which is a more credible reason to me.

For what it's worth, the devs of Steamworld Heist have stopped updating the GOG release for almost a year because of some publishing deal they can't talk about.

This is a game I was interested to buy when all the episodes are complete so hopefully it will be sold again at some point.

Alchemic Cutie is a very sweet looking 2D adventure RPG where you capture wild Jellies

Alchemic Cutie.....I'll call it Slime Rancher: Demastered. If the exploration is good then I might buy it just for that.

Book of Demons no longer getting a native Linux port, developer plans on 'supporting' Steam Play (updated)

I guess some devs will never get it that they don't have to target all distros, if they compile against a fairly modern distro such as Ubuntu 16.04 that would be the sweet spot. Might not be a good choice to use bleeding edge (Ubuntu 18.10),that might cause issues for who is using a setup with older libraries.

Mount & Blade: Warband now has a 64bit beta for Linux, should fix numerous issues

That's a surprising (and awesome) move by the devs, glad they're still supporting the game this far. Will patiently await Bannerlord till then :-)

Humble and GOG both have plenty of titles on sale for Halloween

I committed the sin of buying Outlast 2 since it seems to run well with DXVK. Not much into scary games but I like the setting in this title :)
