Much as I'm super hyped to play it, I'm gonna hold off a little longer. The list of issues is a bit too long in my book, once the situation improves a bit further I'm buyin at full price.

Not quite time to wine down yet, with Wine 4.14 released to lift your spirits

Quoting: JompaYou can try these scripts from github

I think i used the 2nd one to get both Call of Cthulhu and The Sinking City to work, with some minor bugs but playable.
Thanks for those, I had the first one but not the 2nd (which is what I need for Darksiders 1). Tried it over the weekend but hit a snag, a small issue on my end but definitely a good start.

Again, thanks!

Still hoping for the day more work goes into mfplat. It can be a nightmare with some games.

Facepunch adjust their Linux plans for Rust, refunds being offered as it won't continue at all

I didn't comment on the previous thread regarding the split however I didn't like the idea either, it would be an unfair treatment to give Linux users an inferior game when they paid the same as other platforms. Offering a refund was the sanest choice they could make.

I can stand by these devs and say they've truly optimized Tower of Time for Linux, it's a fantastic game. Count me in for this one too.

A look at how Steam Play is doing, based on the ProtonDB reports from July

Something to point out with ProtonDB is that even if a game is reported as Borked, these are to be taken with a grain of salt. Some reports mention a specific game may run with plain wine, while some others are so old they don't reflect current status.

This article had me confused because it's been released for some time already. Maybe add a little notice that it's an oopsie you probably forgot to cover? ;)

DXVK, the awesome D3D11 and D3D10 to Vulkan translation layer has a new release out

Is Bloodstained a 32bit game? That would be surprising considering it's a modern title.

EDIT: Just found out it's 64bit.

More interestingly this youtuber seems to run it without issues on a GT730: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwEFbmZHOrw [External Link]

Interested in Google's Stadia game streaming service? We have a few more details now
20 Jul 2019 at 4:39 pm UTC

What I'd like to know about Stadia is how these games are being streamed, it's going to use Linux + Vulkan and I got that much, but does that also mean the games themselves have been ported to Linux for this?

DXVK 1.3 is out with some fun sounding new features for this Vulkan translation layer
