My guess is that they're not doing it just for this game, they said "core engine", that could be an indication it might come useful for other games.

I'm very pleased to see they're still going for Linux, and with Vulkan it will be much easier to produce cross platform titles, if I'm not mistaken even the Switch uses Vulkan, that's 3 birds with 1 stone.

Quoting: GuestWeird, GOG showed a blue dot indicating it was updated, but it was the same 1.0.2 version. Maybe it's still processing.

Today they added the macOS version. That only leaves Linux to be updated and won't be here until next week.

Quoting: no_information_hereNow that VP have refined their skills, it would be great if CDPR might give them Witcher 3. I hope CDPR weren't put off by the (initial) negative reaction after Witcher 2.

Unless VP starts using Vulkan, I think TW3 will end up running better with DXVK.

I remember this game way back when Ubuntu was becoming a bit popular on the desktop, great times. I'm surprised (but happy) it's still being worked on all these years.

Windows Unity games can be converted in a similar way if matched with Linux exe that is same or close enough version, it may not work for all games though.
