Hollow Knight looks like exactly the type of action platformer I would play on Linux

Now THIS is a platformer I'm going to buy, big levels and beautiful artwork.
If they didn't enforce the client to play, I would have no problem buying from Steam and using it just to download the games.
Quoting: Doc AngeloI guess the version on Steam will also be DRM free. You don't have to use any kind of DRM when publishing through Steam.Sometimes I wonder what devs really understand when it comes to DRM and Steam - requiring to log into the client to download the game, or requiring the client running to play the game.

I'm curious to see the new performance benchmarks with these drivers. I've been wanting to go with an AMD gpu for a new system for a while now and the poor drivers are the only thing holding me back.
Nvidia may be the best for Linux but they aren't very open source friendly.

I haven't started the game yet, way too many RPG's to play and I make sure to explore every corner of the game so finishing 1 game takes some time but, Am I ready to return to the White March? Yes Obsidian, I'm ready to splurge my money all over your expansion and future games :-)

From a business point of view they're right, at that price why offer a system locked to Steam when they can offer one that also serves as a normal desktop PC. Also considering a PS4/XB1 cost half of the price, it would be hard to turn a profit.
So far the only Steam Box I've seen that's worth the money is the Alienware one, the price/performance are comparable to a normal console or build-it-yourself system.
In my opinion Steam Boxes shouldn't cost a lot and should serve as an equivalent alternative to a PS4/XB1. At the end of the day I doubt many people are willing to shell 700e+ for a system focused just on Steam.

Legends Of Eisenwald Linux Port Put On Hold, Developers Asking For Help To Port It

I appreciate their honesty, but the first thing that came to my mind was "why not start with OpenGL in the first place?" and this was before reading the comments above.
However looking at their Kickstarter page, the project was started around April 2012 where (at the time) Linux still wasn't as popular for gaming. Hopefully they'll work on it at some point, would love to buy this.

Quoting: oldrocker99Looks great, but there are no Wily packages :'( .I made a portable version of it because I could only find Ubuntu (non Wily) and Debian packages. Should also help other non *buntu user.

Nice game, I've taken the liberty to make a portable version of the game for who doesn't use Debian/Ubuntu or simply doesn't want to install the packages.
Installation is simple: Extract and run "start32" or "start64" depending on your distro.

Not *too* surprising, I bought the game when I was still a Windows gamer so I don't feel the same way as most people do around here, but I certainly understand their frustration.
After the buggy mess Wasteland 2 DC is, I was hoping D: OS would finally give me something to crunch on this month. I remain positive that Larian will deliver, this is their own engine and takes longer than Unity/Unreal projects.
Hopefully this will also mean that D: OS 2 will have a better fate, and possibly Dragon Commander too?

DRM on top of DRM? Gonna avoid this piece of trash. Didn't like the devs from the start and now I have another reason to continue seeing it that way.

As a GOG user I might not be able to beta test these ports but I'd surely be more inclined to buy Telltale's games. Hell yes I want a Linux port and hopefully not just Minecraft Story Mode, but their entire games catalog.
