Victor Vran Action RPG Now Available DRM Free For Linux On GOG

Thanks for the news Liam, I didn't give up hope on this but I kinda lost the hype for this game and since I've just bought SOMA and Shovel Knight it will take me a couple of weeks to get my payment to buy this but this is definitely on my list.

Don't Count On Any EA Frostbite Powered Games On Linux

Quoting: maodzedunOh, I'm so sick of this "I've never taken the survey" bull. Even if you all took it it would increase the Linux percent from 0.9 to 1.5% if we're generous. Congratulations - I'm sure EA, Ubisoft and Rockstar will come running to port their AAA games. "I thought it was only 0.9%, but by God, it's 1.5!!! Quickly - call VP so we can have GTA 5 ready for Ubuntu 15.10". Somebody pointed out earlier that it is completely absurd for you to presume you're better at number crunching and market research than the entire dedicated departments of a multi-billion dollar corporation.
0.9%, 1.5%, To companies such as EA, Ubi and Rockstar these numbers won't matter much, I mean look at Mac it has a bigger number than that and yet you don't see any Battlefield, Assassin's Creed or GTA V on Mac do you? It is no secret that EA seeks only profit in their games without adding much to their formula and also one of the main reasons Origin was built for.

As for the Steam survey itself, it only reflects the Steam user base and only the ones who took the survey, there are people who buy only from GOG and Humble Bundle for the DRM-Free. It's not just EA, but any company who judges a user base on just 1 store is doing it a bit wrong and getting the wrong numbers.

Arma 3 Compared On SteamOS & Windows

I remember when VP released Witcher 2 last year, they've made a lot of progress since then. I like what I'm seeing and if this turns out to be a cost effective way to deliver not-too old Windows games to Linux then I say bring it on. :D

Armello, A Grim Fairy-tale Game That Plays Like A Board Game, It’s Very Fun

I admit I underestimated this game when I saw it was also being released for Android, but I was WRONG, totally wrong and I think I finally found a game that catches my interest.

Thanks for the review :)

Vulkan Looks Impressive Against OpenGL In A New Intel Demo

Quoting: FiBuAshes of singularity is using dx 12. I have done some benchmarks(this is only pre-alpha so dx 12 perfomance can be totally changed but I was curious). I was really suprised that my i5 4590 is running dx 12 much better than any amd procesor. I have been thinking that with dx 12 amd procesors with more cores will beat intel(especially that creators of Ashes of singurality have good relationship with AMD) .
I think the reason for that might be because intel processors have better per-core performance than AMD cpu's, take for example the i3's which are dual core with hyper threading, they can still match and overtake some of AMD's Quad Core or better CPU's.

intel has made quite some progress between Sandy Bridge and Haswell, I have an i5 4590 like yours and the frame rate in some CPU bound games is noticeably higher compared to my old i5 2400.

Looks yummy, personally I see no reason why companies would choose DX12 over this. A powerful cross platform API such as this would nullify the "Our engine was written for DirectX" excuse and in turn games can start coming to Mac and Linux the same way they do on Windows and Consoles without too many additional costs.

I'm probably going too fast here I know, but it's time for developers and publishers to start accepting the fact that Linux on the desktop is something real and it's not just "An OS for geeks", some already do, while the big ones still have to budge.

SOMA, The Next Horror Game From Frictional Games Should Have Day-1 Linux Support

Shadow Warrior was one hell of a great job, knowing Aaron is behind it practically confirms that this will be yet another great experience.

This is one of my highly anticipated games this year, day 1 purchase on GOG.

The Forgotten Realms Archives Now On GOG For Linux, Eye Of The Beholder 1,2,3 & More!

Despite having an Amiga 600 with 200+ games and a 486 PC I never played any of these games in my days as it was mostly Doom and other id software / Build Engine games. Judging from the screenshots I probably won't like Pack 2, the graphics are no issue, but the gameplay isn't my type.

Can't say the same for pack 1 and 3 though. First person, tile based and claustrophobic, going to enjoy many nights with those, starting from tomorrow :D
