Quoting: Article TextThis is a proper AAA First Person Shooter folks, not even Mac has it yet, great news!
Actually, if you make your way down through the SteamDB history, you'll see that they ran a closed beta for OS X over the past two months or so, including multiple build revisions along the way.  I would guess that the Mac version is a bit further along at this point.
Mac doesn't have it yet though, so what I said was still technically true :P

I would buy 2033 if it came to Linux as well, so I could do a proper run through both together then :)

Quoting: abelthorneAccording to Phoronix (http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTQzNDE [External Link]), the game is already out for Linux. Well, that's Phoronix so not always reliable. Could anyone that bought the game on Windows confirm if it appears in the Steam Linux library and if it can be launched?
Do yourself a favour and ignore phoronix, the guy never bothers to check facts. He did the same for Portal he listed it as Portal 2 is out for Linux and still hasn't changed it (he changed the title but not the content, still says portal 2).

It is not out, yet.

For me Metro 2033 was awesome, easily one of the best linear FPS I've played so I would snap this game up in a heartbeat for Linux to continue the story :D.

Yeah for me there's far worse things than nice pixel art - ugly 3d art is far far faaaar worse.

Personally for me pixel art is never an issue, it does become an issue when pixel art is the selling point of the game, this is not the case for Starbound.

Quoting: OZSeafordThanks for promoting this, this is great news, but I am worried by the fact that I love Linux, and I love Terraria and have been waiting for starbound since it was announced, however, I had not heard that Starbound would be released on the Linux platform. Hopefully, I am but an isolated case, but if this is the case, then we need to spread the word.
Q. Which platforms will the game support?

A. Windows, Mac and Linux!
Taken from their official FAQ [External Link], link is at the top of the store's page :)

Will gog.com Ever Support Linux On Its Store?

There are already games on Steam that don't require steam to even be running, Steam already supports it.
