7 Days to die Zombie Survival Game needs help

Quoting: xeranasToo much promises usually leads into unpolished result.. Let's hope this will be not another WarZ disaster.
This is nothing like WarZ though especially since this game has single-player. WarZ had many issues like stealing others content, ripping another games gameplay completely etc.

Chaos Engine Remake will come to Linux

Quoting: berarmaSo the only new feature will be that it requires Steam? I'm better using the emulation.

I would try Steam and maybe buy DRM-free games if they truly exist, but I still can't run it. When Valve said they would target Ubuntu they meant making sure it wouldn't run easily anywhere else.
Completely untrue Valve has been fixing multiple issues for other distro's.

Quoting: liamdaweWell they replied, may have to do a full article on it to get the word out with what they told me.
I really hope it was good news... :|
First reply wasn't good news, just backing up their use of a stretch goal, I've now asked the Unity question on why Linux is extra when it has an exporter hoping that actually gives us a decent enough answer.

Quoting: muntdefemsI was aware of Precinct and I was saving it for next week's article, in spite of the high stretch goal. What I didn't know is that it's being build on Unity! $200k for a Linux build on Unity? WTF?!?!

I can concede that maintaning multiple ports have some associated costs, and some learning process if the developer is not familiar with the additional platforms, but an additional 40% of a $500k budget it's outright untolerable! :><:
Indeed I sent the author a message to clarify it and pointed him to Cheese's article on Linux as a stretch goal.

Quoting: edgleyI can't say I read any of their information on it in detail, is this an update to the already existing "game" / simulator or a new product entirely?
It looks like it will be a a new version of it as they are re-doing it in Unity.
