You can unsubscribe from an article at any time (see the bold writing above the comments..), you can also tell it to not subscribe automatically from your UserCP.

I have also added a direct link into article reply emails to unsubscribe from, hope it helps :)

My honest opinion is that we shouldn't read into it too much since no one really knows how the survey works.

It's a survey after all it's never 100% accurate, It can't be unless they counted as close to 100% of their user base as possible, but it's not, it's a small section of their users they survey.

Infact they are borked, take this for example:

This Month: Linux Mint 14 Nadia 64 bit 0.13% +0.13%
Last Month: Linux Mint 14 Nadia 64 bit 0.17% +0.17%

How can this month be lower yet be +0.13%, the survey this month just isn't right or last month wasn't right or both.

Another

This Month: Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit 0.47% +0.04%
Last Month: Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit 0.71% +0.28%

Again how can this month have a +0.04% increase yet again actually be lower.

Something just isn't right, unless I am looking at it completely wrong that is...

I mean it's possible that overall they are less against the rest (the rest being all other Linux, Mac and Windows) but still have more if that makes sense?
