Lutris game launcher has a huge new Beta update out for testing
20 Oct 2020 at 12:20 pm UTC

Testing the GOG account system, all GOG games now show. However, you can (like with Steam), set it to show only installed items. Unless I am missing it, there doesn't seem to be a way to connect an account without syncing.

Out of curiosity, what's your issue with syncing?

Quoting: dpanterEarlier versions had game library sync as well, a feature I'm desperate to avoid.
I don't use Lutris as a main game manager. For my current use case, I only want Lutris to have the specific games I manually add. Really hope they didn't fudge this up.
There should be nothing stopping you manually adding games as normal, looks like it's all still there. Search for game, add, done.

No, Stadia doesn't do launchers, it's a very different platform really. You never see any launchers.

For people that don't like it, I urge you to just go and block the tag in your user settings. It's here, we're covering it, deal with it. Or, be like a reasonable adult and ignore what you don't like and are clearly not interested in. This constant back and forth is tiring.

Maybe I'm asking dumb question, but how "Steam Linux Runtime - Soldier" is related to proton, how to check it's version and how to install new, if needed? From reddit post I understand, that Steam Linux Runtime is for linux games and proton for windows. Now both are broken?
This latest Proton release seems to use the new runtime. Just installed it as stated in the article, and you're good to go. It always gives you the latest, until they come up with an entirely new runtime.

It doesn't mean it's native. And I think it's quite important.
Seriously we know barely nothing about their infrastructure.
We know quite a lot from Google themselves, and from developers talking about their experiences on porting to Stadia. Ubisoft has a whole presentation on the people getting things running with Vulkan, and working that in with the rest of the development efforts with other platforms.
Same for Destiny 2, which Bungie had a big video on porting for it. We've seen Ryan "Icculus" Gordon talk about how easy it is to go from plain Linux to Stadia, and same with Ethan Lee on porting to Stadia. People need to stop this incessant tin-foil hatting about it. It means nothing for games on the Linux desktop though. More Vulkan and more developers learning both? Yes. Accessible and playable on Linux in the browser the same as on Windows? Also yes. It's a net win for us, not something against us.

Quoting: EikeIf I remember correctly, they used to "force" them to make Linux version long time ago, no?
For Humble Indie Bundles, nothing else.
They've long since expanded to other markets, but people like living in the past and complaining about it constantly it seems.
