Quoting: PatolaHow do Fort Triumph and For the King [External Link] compare?
Almost completely different.

Quoting: scaineWell, it's on sale now. As usual, I bought it on Itch.io for $15 (I added a $5 tip), only to discover, as morbius notes... I'd already bought it.

Honestly, I don't mind paying money for quality and I'm looking forward to playing this so I don't mind... in this case.

But why the hell does Itch allow you pay twice for content you already own??? It's just an awful concept. I was logged in, this is in my library, and yet Itch let's me pay for it again? What the hell are they thinking?

I think less of Itch for allowing this, even if, as I say, I don't mind in this particular case.

- Edit to add, I'm running Mint 20 which is based on Ubuntu 20.04 and it runs perfectly.
Probably another result of the big charity bundle itch did, that was so big they wanted people to add stuff manually to their library. Even so, on checkout it absolutely should check if you own it already. Maybe email them about it or post on their GitHub?

According to a Stadia developer, streamers should be paying publishers and it backfired

Quoting: gabberI know it's almost like Stadia is not good for Linux on the desktop.
I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to get at here. If you mean Stadia is bad for Linux on the desktop, it's the wrong way to look at it. Stadia doesn't mean anything really for any current system, since it works across pretty much any existing system. So it's not "good" for Linux on the desktop in the same way it's not "good" for Windows, macOS, Android, Chromecast or anything else.

Quoting: minfaerBtw, the article confuses me. It sounds like Hutchinson tweeted this by himself, but then keeps using 'they' as if it was his studio's (or some groups) stance. Which is it?
Hutchinson did tweet directly, not from a studio account. Perhaps you're tripping up on singular they [External Link]? Don't know, hard to tell, as you didn't point out the parts confusing you. When talking about a person, using "they" is just pretty normal here.

Microsoft Edge now available on Linux in Preview

Quoting: HJwhat does this have to do with gaming?
We often cover a lot of things not directly connected with Linux gaming, wider industry news for Linux and so on. We've done so for a long time now. No doubt I will be replying to comments like this for years to come...

However, web browser can be used to play thousands of games, game streaming services and more. It's very relevant.

Quoting: einherjarHmm, EUII is a Windows only Version.
We often point out things that aren't entirely native to Linux, especially when it comes to much older free games like this. And as has been pointed out, this is gaming on Linux. If it can be done on Linux somehow, we may (not always ofc) write about it.

Also, it really helps to read the article.

Lutris game launcher has a huge new Beta update out for testing

Testing the GOG account system, all GOG games now show. However, you can (like with Steam), set it to show only installed items. Unless I am missing it, there doesn't seem to be a way to connect an account without syncing.

Out of curiosity, what's your issue with syncing?
