Quoting: geckofish52Forgive my ignorance, but my understanding is that unlike Manjaro, which lumps Arch updates into point releases, Endeavour is basically an Arch installer. So what constitutes a new "release"?When they put out a new ISO download, with all the latest bits along with a few of their tweaks.

There was an indie game patchman that originally only launched for Linux too.

Quoting: Eikehttps://store.steampowered.com/app/594550/Arma_Cold_War_Assault_MacLinux/ [External Link] - Mac and Linux only.Quoting: Liam DaweI have seen a developer complaining that they're not allowed to do it, and I've never seen someone doing it. Do you have an example?Quoting: EikeThat restriction as far as I am aware does not exist. We've seen Linux-only releases on Steam, and we've also seen Linux+Mac only releases.Quoting: CorbenIs known how they are putting these games on the store? I'm wondering how it will be labeled, as just "VR" won't be enough anymore. Right now we have (mostly) Windows games that just run on Linux and Steam Deck (if not too demanding, but techically they run). On Linux PC (i.e. x86, amd64 etc.). When VR games are compiled for arm though, will they run on PC too? They might have the restriction that ARM games must be able to run on X86, too, just like there is (AFAIK) a restriction that any Linux native game must be available for Windows, too.
Will they create a seperate store/category for arm steam frame VR games?
Will PC VR gamers running HTC Vive, Valve Index etc. be able to play these games too or will they miss out? Is this was Lepton is aiming for, but only for Linux users? Don't get me wrong, the more Linux the better, yet VR is a niche, and if Windows VR gamers would not be able to play those games too, it's a loss.

We all live in our own bubbles. I thought people didn't really care either, until more people in my own life starting talking about how they're using it. Plenty of them just switching off when I mentioned the dangers of blindly trusting things like ChatGPT.

Could you try looking in: ~/snap/steam/common/.local/share/Steam/steamapps
See if the compatdata folder is there? Once we find the correct path, I'll add it to the guide.

Quoting: jurquizoFirst of all, great guide. I tried following the steam method and I couldn't find the folder of the Steam installation folder to change the shortcut, I think it is because I installed Steam via snap and I can't find similar paths inside the .snap folder. Could you help me?Ah, that's an interesting one. Snap is a whole different can of worms.

Quoting: AL2009manWait, you aren't supposed to be covering Arc Raiders due to its GenAI usage?I touched on that in the article. Anyway, I cover whatever I see that fits based on my own personal choices and the industry at large. In this case, it's too big too ignore - especially so as a huge game that has the anti-cheat enabled for Linux. And personally speaking again - I see their use of generative AI as vastly more ethical than most other uses. They hired and paid people for the voices used. Not that it really adds anything to the game, bit silly really. They really didn't need AI for it.
Then again, 51% of Japanese developers already uses it [External Link]. Pandora's Box is opened I guess?

Quoting: LoudTechieOn the nitpicky side, the call for evidence is for how to steer european open source toward their objectives, not the importance.Well, it's both. It's clearly important because they're looking to base their future on it, and they want to steer people to them.
