Psyonix, creator of Rocket League is joining Epic Games (updated)

Psyonix sent me this message today:
I can confirm that the game will continue to be available (and Supported) on Steam. More information will be shared in the future.
What I am starting to think, is that their ambiguous wording is probably due to it going free to play and they just don't want to announce it yet without giving it away. Which would account for their weird original wording about it being supported on Steam.

Added a statement from the official RL account and what Epic Games said to USgamer to the bottom of the article.

Quoting: DASPRiDOkay, so let me get this straight:

They are pulling RocketLeague from the Steam store (presumably not only the Windows version, but all). So Linux gamers can still play the game after it got pulled, but new Linux gamers will not be able to purchase the game in any store, do I get this right?
That's usually what would happen, when a game leaves Steam for whatever reason.

Quoting: gurvHey Liam, why no € prices in the article?
Since Steam only allows me to view prices in my local currency, I rely on others giving me the other prices. I usually use SteamDB to find them but I couldn't find the items listed there yet.
