Quoting: BaxHave you considered uploading to Google Podcasts?I've looked around and apparently it needs a dedicated page, with only a single RSS link to the podcast feed so it will take a bit of extra time to cook up for it.

Quoting: leillo1975As I haven't played it, I wasn't saying it's a bad game, simply keeping people's expectations in check."Considering it costs less than five pounds though, don't go expecting too much from it."The game is worth a lot more than it costs. I can tell you that for that price is a gift, and the support of the developer is constant and very good.
Quoting: leillo1975Looks like all they did was shrink it down a bit, still doesn't look good but it certainly is better than the massive size it was before. Also, that video has some serious corruption issues.in-race UI looks pretty terribleThis issue has already been corrected. What you can see in the video is no longer what you currently have in the game. Take a look to this video to compare:

Quoting: dpanterI highly doubt people want to hear the kinds of things the chavs around here shout loudly at each other. The joys of living next to a tower block full of them eh.Quoting: liamdaweEditing the audio is the longest part, having to redo parts where a chair creaked or someone shouted outside or somethingKeep those! :D

Quoting: SkullyI am enjoying these. How much time goes into making an episode? I hope it's worth it for you.Honestly about 3 or 4 hours per episode. Editing the audio is the longest part, having to redo parts where a chair creaked or someone shouted outside or something heh.
If people enjoy it, it's worth it.

Quoting: mcphailAs I have the game on GOG, I can't access that forum as it relies on checking a Steam account.Quoting: liamdaweHoly cow you're right, disabling my net does allow it to run, what the heck.If you get the chance, it'd be great if you could contribute your experience at https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/i-r-linux-game-usually-fails-to-load-from-launcher-when-using-nvidia-418-drivers.1171095/ [External Link] . I think you'd have to register your game with paradox to access that forum, though.
I've let them know this info on my support ticket though.

Quoting: mcphailHoly cow you're right, disabling my net does allow it to run, what the heck.Quoting: liamdaweJust tried that myself to see, same issue sadlyI've noticed that my failed-launch crash dumps all have exceptions in network code from one of Paradox's libraries. If I disable my network card in Network Manager the game seems to launch from the launcher every time. Does that work on your machine?

Doesn't seem like Stardock want to give any more details, I asked which vendor they were having issues with and what the issues were. The response was "We're working with both of them on it. Making iterative improvements." - so basically, nothing.
NVIDIA have two new drivers out with 430.09 and the Vulkan beta driver 418.52.05

Quoting: einherjarTry the 418 driver, works fine for me on 19.04.Quoting: liamdaweThis driver numbers from NVIDIA always confuse me.Quoting: axredneckAccording to this page https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/1050666/b/t/post/5332260/#5332260 [External Link] which was a little late appearing this time, it is a beta driver yeah.Quoting: serge418.52.05 is a beta release based on an older branch.418.52.05 is Vulkan beta
p.s. Is this 430.09 beta?
I now have to use the 430.09, because since my upgrade to Ubuntu 19.04, the 415.27 doesn`t work anymore.
I don't understand, if this is a driver is with Vulkan support or if this is a downstep for me. Is it worth investigating to get 415.27 running again? :S:

Quoting: mcphailJust tried that myself to see, same issue sadly:Quoting: liamdaweI wonder if it's an issue with a later NVIDIA driver or later GPU models then in that case. The 396 driver is pretty old now though...FWIW, I've tried with the 418 driver and it is much worse. The game doesn't run from the Paradox Launcher. I have to go into the game binary directory and runLD_LIBRARY_PATH=. ./imperatorto make it into the game. It still crashes in November, though.
liam@liam-main:/mnt/games/Imperator Rome/game/binaries$ LD_LIBRARY_PATH=. ./imperator

Quoting: NezchanWait, it's finally coming out? I played it on Itch.io years ago and have had it wishlisted since, but thought it was abandoned. The developer said on the official site that it's pretty much done, they also have some interesting development log videos on their YouTube [External Link] :)
Looking forward to it, then.
