I'm not saying it's specifically okay, just that it's normal. Every single company I've ever worked for, has let people from certain positions go while hiring for others.

Quoting: hardpenguinWe don't know the exact specifics of how they were let go or how long any of these people were at the company, you're jumping to conclusions there don't you think?Fair enough, that all sounds quite normal in the business world. No, it is not. Letting go a significant group of (often experienced and long-term) employees without any further notice is never ok.

Quoting: ScattershotVideos are a very different thing, they're there to be watched. I completely understand this.Quoting: liamdaweNot sure I understand this. If it's a podcast then it should be scripted and structured in a way that makes it easy to follow when just listening to the audio. I'm not sure why youtubers need additional prompts.Quoting: dpanterThumbs up Liam!Yup, I agree for those watching the video rather than just listening. Already have some ideas on this, to keep it simple while giving people something to see.
I humbly second that suggestion on YT that you should have some sort of text/image showing the current subject, just for us to keep track of what you're currently talking about.
This is absolutely something I will do for the next one.

Quoting: EikeI should really play this... before the children start to ask all those questions I couldn't answer. :DI'll be honest, I was tempted to play it alone to be able to be a super cool dad who has tons of facts :P
... to the point of wanting to go out and find some of the creatures you learn about, so it seemed to do a really good job of getting him interested in nature. That's great!
Significant other will approve. ;)

Quoting: TheSyldatI must be doing something real wrong because there is still no Nvenc option available after updating ...You're right, mine seems to have also been removed when updating.
Can a tiny guide be made by someone on how to get Nvenc support on Linux because I must be doing it wrong ...

If it gets popular, bandwidth could become a concern we're actually pretty close to our limit this month, will likely be looking into hosting services!
Actually, seems our host has the wrong limit on for us which is too low, will contact them right now.
An interview is certainly something I would like to do in podcast format some time yes :)
And yes, Hex is here...somewhere :P

Quoting: tonRSuggestion...I was actually on a few episodes of the council ;) it was fun to be a part of it while he did it!
- I wish HexDSL's "The Council of Linux Gamers" will resume in this kind of podcast format here. Not fan of Youtube forcing play in HD nowadays.
- If website's bandwidth hosting is a concern, posted it on soundcloud or vocaloid. It also amy "wider-ing" the audience.
- Interview podcasting.
p/s: Is HexDSL have account here?
