Again, like the other link someone gave, this is not the correct one. The one I linked to in my first comment is the correct one, but it's not being updated.
Yeah, Michael Marley is clearly not updating the "correct" dev PPA anymore - but he has his own PPAs and he does make updates there. He has actually posted the 418.31.03 driver now, but it's to his "staging 2 [External Link]" PPA.
Which you're so clearly told not to use ;)

Sadly, it seems the original Ubuntu PPA [External Link] for these drivers hasn't been updated in some time.
I probably shouldn't share this ... but:

GOG has another sale on for the 'Lantern Festival' with some good Linux games going cheap

Quoting: 14OK. How did you get to that page? I don't see how to get to a news page. When I click on the sale image on the main page, it brings me to a list of games that are on sale.
When you are on main gog.com page, go to the very bottom and there is a section "News". Find out the news about Lantern Festival Sale and go there, thats the page with all the Sale details ( the one I linked )
Yeah it's a bit poor they basically bury their news section.

You have the wrong link it's /ppa not /dev
Last update was 4 days ago for version 4.15.27

Wrong, that is the normal PPA.

With a clear inspiration from Portal, the first-person puzzler HA/CK is out now

the heavy Portal inspiration is crystal clear
You do know that there is a very large genre now called "first-person puzzle" games? Yes, they were largely inspired by Portal at the beginning, but we don't always refer to Castlevania when reviewing metroidvania games these days...

Antichamber
QUBE
Kairo
Talos
Parallax
Deadcore
TRI
NaissanceE
Qbeh-1
etc...
The developer themselves literally said they were inspired by Portal.

Oh, and I am obviously well aware, since I wrote "first-person puzzler" in the title...

You do know that some games can resemble their inspiration more than others right? It's only natural to mention it, as it also helps other people who haven't played it to understand the basic gameplay as well and so on.

The first Steam Play update for this year is out with Proton 3.16-7 beta

Now I'm home, I've re-tested. Seems the Steam client is definitely having issues updating Proton. Now I've forced it, I can confirm Into the Breach fullscreen is indeed fixed. Updated the text at the bottom of the article.

Apparently you can install Proton from the Tools menu in the Steam client, for those having issues above.

Quoting: BrisseStarted Steam, then restarted once for 3.16-7 to show up. Selected 3.16-7.
Looks like the setting only applies on non-whitelisted games though.
Whitelisted games seem to use whatever version Valve used when whitelisting it, which makes sense actually because it eliminates the potential for regressions.

Dark Souls II:SotFS - Proton 3.16-7 selected by you for all titles
Dark Souls III - Proton 3.16-4 selected by Valve testing
NieR: Automata - Proton 3.7-8 selected by Valve testing
You can manually force those games remember, which is what I did for Into the Breach and the Steam client clearly said I was on the new version.
