I'm not sure it's pertinent to compare the two... Considering how different the production means and costs are and the fact that you don't have to pay for distribution and resellers, I'd be upset if those virtual cards were not noticeably cheaper than real ones. Add the fact that Valve will get a cut of every player trade on top of selling the cards in the first place, and Wizards of the Coast should be jealous if this becomes popular ^_^

They are both Debian based. And SteamOS is based on exactly the same versions UbuntuLTS is based on. I am pretty sure SteamOS is more or less Ubuntu for all intends and purposes... Well it does not have the same desktop theme, i give you that...

For me on Ubuntu there's a dialog hidden behind the game window that the game doesn't react and giving you the option to wait or force quit. That hidden dialog seems to capture all inputs. After switching to it and choosing choosing wait the game runs well. :-)
