Wait, whaaaat? It's announced?
No, but after this I imagine they will be doing it.

Quoting: KimyrielleAwesome! This is already the best ever city builder, and they keep making it better. People keep bashing Paradox for the abundant DLC releases, but the result is a game that grows for years, instead of devs releasing a new game with minor new features for full price, EA-style.
Exactly. As a fan of Stellaris much more than previous Paradox games as a space nerd, i couldn't be happier.

Not going to argue this any further. I've shown I'm doing something to check and it's nothing to do with this developer.

The new one? Don't think they even develop it any more. Their focused heavily on Fortnite.

Quoting: liamdaweIf you gather statistics for all kickstarters that promised Linux support, that would give the actual accurate representation. I wasn't talking about personal samples in my original comment, which I what I am trying to explain.
Well, I guess you didn't do these statistics either...?

Even with the limited amount I've got on there right now, the failure rate is pretty low.

Quoting: liamdawe"Personally backed", that's very different to what I was talking about.
Not really, it's just that's the only thing I've calculated stats for. There's no specific reason to believe any randomly selected set of Kickstarters is not indicative of the general trend unless you want to make the case that I am unusually bad at picking them. What evidence do you have to back up your claim of 1%?
I'm not sure how you're failing to understand this.

If you back 2 kickstarters and both fail, that's a 100% failure rate. That's an obviously silly example, but I'm showing you how different it is what we're actually talking about.

Quoting: EikeThe Linux improvements sound minor, but hey, the crash reporter might help to do major improvements later on...
My thoughts exactly, providing better and easier tools to report issues I imagine will certainly help in the long run. I think this also shows that Epic aren't leaving Linux out in the cold with improvements too.

Improvements to alt-tab and fullscreen behaviour in many games.
I keep seeing this but it just gets worse and worse with witcher 3.
Have you reported it to the GitHub [External Link]?

We did not exclude any patents from our OIN commitment to license our portfolio to the Linux System. We signed the standard OIN License Agreement, and didn’t negotiate any exclusions. We actually clicked through the OIN agreement like any other licensee!

Quoting: ElectricPrismWhat is the most ruthless and financially strategic angle here? Of course they will peruse their Gaming grip, their objective is to make as much profit as possible.
Protecting themselves. They own GitHub, a massive place for OSS. They also have a lot of customers running Linux on Azure (which they actually support) and so on. It makes sense for them as a business to do this, while also giving Linux and OSS more security too.

This is a win-win as far as I can see. There's no doubt going to be tons of FUD thrown around though.
