Quoting: pschoHah, we certainly won't abandon Linux, I've used Ubuntu as my main OS since 2005 and do most of my gaming on it. So making sure our own project runs o it is high priority to us.Great stuff, added a small update with a link to itch in the article :)
...which brings me to the main point, some good news. The Linux build is now available at itch.io, sorry about the delay but we ran into some small but annoying rendering issues on Linux at the very last minute so I had to sort that out first. Seems to be fine now, tested on Ubuntu 18.04, with the proprietary nVidia drivers from the repositories.

Quoting: salamanderrakeCrowdfunding with linux support means as soon as they get the money they need they abandon linux. No, it really doesn't. Out of all the crowdfunders that have been done that promise Linux support, the amount that fail on this is probably less than 1%.

Quoting: KelsYou might want to remind them that there are a lot of people not in their discord, who might want some kind of update. Given they haven't posted a damn thing on Steam in over a year, and that was a promise that it would be out somewhere on the order of six months ago. While I like Discord, I do have to echo this sentiment. I really don't like things like that feeling quite hidden. Great that they're being open about it, but open outside a community you have to join to read would be good.
Having their own little space and communicating there isn't what I call good communication overall. Hell, I didn't even know their Discord existed until I read your post. Certainly the pinned "How to get in touch with the developers" on the Steam forum doesn't mention it, all that's there is their email. It's a 2013 post that's never been updated, so I'm not even sure that works.

I could happily go for some L4D3.
They need more than Artifact (even though I've no doubt it will be a ridiculous hit) and In The Valley of Gods.

Quoting: x_wingWell, feels like Microsoft answer to Valve Linux embrace & improvement is to buy game studios and start to planning a revenue constriction.I really do hope Valve have some serious other games lined up. They have some seriously good IP that need a refresh and continuation like Left 4 Dead 3, Team Fortress 3, Half-Life 3, Portal 3 and so on.

Quoting: elmapul"Customizable playstyle based on which items player obtains and equips"You do understand that feature is basically what most action RPGs already have right? It can literally mean the difference between types of weapons.
ok, i didnt like that part, this is an recipe for disaster.
its over ambitious and an bad game designing sign, not that it can't be done, but the cost of doing it is to high unless they are counting on the variable "luck" wich isnt an good variable to begin with.
its like the tend of poorly designed procedural games instead of an curated experience.

Quoting: gurvDo controllers work for anyone in this game?Worked without issues with my Steam Controller and Logitech F310 last time I tested it.
I was really looking forward to playing this game in local multi but I unfortunately had to ask for a refund because it wouldn't recognize my XBox 360 controller nor my Wii u pro controller.
I tried adding LC_ALL=C to the launch command to no avail.
And all other games work fine with my controllers.
If anyone has an advice, I'm interested.

Games don't need to be difficult to be interesting though, the problem is how dull it becomes pretty quickly.

Quoting: FirearmsUnitedI noticed that you use an affiliate link to humble bundle. That is great, I didn't know that you were a partner. If I'd knew that sooner I would have always used your affiliate link when I bought something from there thanks to an article on gamingonlinux.com :OHey there, the links are on the Support Us page any time :)
Could you create an easy to reach list of all your partner-/affiliate links, so I can always use them when buying from HumbleBundle and such?

Quoting: GuestNot seen it confirmed anywhere, they mistakenly confirmed it once and then said quickly after it's not.Quoting: PatolaThat's so nice to see this progression. Looking forward to buy this game. On the other hand, I feel completely betrayed by Triumph Studios which made a similar game - Age of Wonders: Planetfall - but didn't bother to make a Linux port.Planetfall is getting a Linux port... IIRC it is confirmed.
