Here’s a look at some good FPS games available on Linux & SteamOS

Quoting: Gobo
Quoting: liamdaweDying Light should not be classed as an FPS, which was the entire aim of the list.
Well, in my opinion Deus Ex should not be classed as an FPS as well. While it might be possible for the player to use guns in this game, that is not what the game is about and the shooting should be kept at the minimum.

On the other hand: yeah, a bit of promotion never did any wrong for the series and everyone should give it a try.
Will agree to disagree on this one I think. Guns are a big part of Deus Ex, but Dying Light is very melee focused.

This one is already mentioned :)

Sadly I can't get the game to work, the 64bit build crashes on server join. Going to try the 32bit build soon.

Quoting: MohandevirMy top 2 is the same than yours with Metro Last Light and Metro 2033 close behind. This said, no Spec Ops: The Line? Great game too, imo. May be short but I really enjoyed the 3rd person combat mechanics.
While the story is good and I did like what I played, it is not an FPS.

Quoting: jgacasIMHO Dying Light could be part of the list too.
Same as above. Dying Light should not be classed as an FPS, which was the entire aim of the list.

Note: I removed Double Action: Boogaloo, while a funny game it's not an FPS - woops.

Quoting: GamewizardHey Relic Hunters Zero has a Linux version. It is not listed on the Steam store page for some reason, I know it has Linux support because it is installed on my Steam right now.
You're right actually. I wrote about it possibly coming, but it seems the Linux build is there. They said in September they were working out some issues before properly advertising it. I've made the text clearer to note this, thanks.

RUINER for Linux is now officially on hold (UPDATED)

And the word games continue [External Link]!

Hi Linux players,

Your version wasn't cancelled. It is a small misunderstanding. RUINER is most definitely coming to Linux. At the moment we just have so much work, that we had to redirect our resources to fixing all the bugs in the current versions, but as soon as it is done, our efforts will go back to Linux.

Best wishes,
RUINERS
Plus the two tweets they just sent us.

Quoting: KayKay91Oh god they have Garou Mark of the Wolves. It is the best god damn fighting game ever made!
It is but the Humble Bundle version is superior.
What makes you say that? They're practically the same aren't they? I just downloaded them both to compare and there's no real difference.
