RUINER, the Unreal Engine brutal action shooter has been delayed for Linux

Delays happen. I don't suddenly think less of Linux gaming as a whole because a few titles are having issues. We still get tons of great stuff.

Quoting: MarkyIs it just me or does AntiAliasing not work?
Anti-aliasing is and has always been broken under Linux (liamdawe claimed otherwise but without a source and I've never seen a working case). This is the main reason I don't play the game more.
At that time it was fixed for me and multiple others, it was then broken again in another update.

One of Valve's choices of games to highlight for Steam Machines is more than a little silly

Good god man, give it a bloody rest with this zealotry.

That's a massive overstatement and you know it. The last article specifically about SteamOS was Early in July. And I think it's important to highlight issues, not bury our heads in the sand about what's happening.
An overstatement for sure, but
1. There are regular discussions about this on reddit and while I really enjoy your site here and see a lot of added value compared to reddit - this is mostly the same community
2. Valve don't care for the SteamMachine-Hub since shortly after release. Nothing has changed in the last 2 months.
1) This is not reddit though. I won't just not talk about something because reddit has, a lot of people I know on here refuse to visit reddit. If I had to weigh my posts against what's already on reddit, I might as well not post anything. Also, I hate reddit.
2) Likely true.

A bunch of Feral Interactive Linux ports may be broken on Arch and others, here's a possible workaround

Quoting: Guest...So i wonder why liamdawe changed distro (?)
maybe because:
Note: I've not used Flatpak at all myself, nor have I tried out this Steam Flatpak as I don't want any issues with my existing install.
But since you're just having issues... eheh.
I changed so I don't have to deal with issues like this. My Ubuntu install is perfectly fine and running like silk.

Quoting: propertyUbuntu 16.04 is also affected when upgrading Mesa. XCOM 2 WotC keeps crashing after I've installed Mesa 17.2. After reinstalling the Mesa 17.0.7 it just fine.

However, Warhammer DoW 3 seemed to be working with Mesa 17.2 as well as 17.3-git
Different issue, contact Feral support and log the issue on the Mesa bug list.

Hahaha, I think I've died in about a minute. Some spawns are savage.

I am aware of that, doesn't change a thing.

Also: You could maybe have added a reference to the reddit-article that inspired you. https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/6z9hwu/its_interesting_to_see_what_valve_promotes_as/ [External Link]
That was supposed to be there, I've re-added it. Seems when moving it from gdocs to here I accidentally cut it out.

Quoting: Sir_DiealotThrowing p2p out in favor of a third party service dependence is a good thing now?
The game looks like a hundred others, I think those are all extensions of the 'minecraft-like' examples in some 'easy' engines. Do we really need that?
Well, just throwing it out isn't great, but any replacement that allows you to easily join people is much nicer. I despise having to join something by IP and port manually.

Quoting: bythecloudsWouldn't hurt to mention that this is a McMillen game (yes, the guys behind Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac, the games that have a lot of following). So it's a really big deal for the fans of their games (who I count myself among). Don't really see the need for downplaying it TWICE in the article.
Then that's great for you, really happy for you :)

Sorry if people thought I was being a bit negative there, but I was personally hoping for something a bit bigger and more interesting for me personally.
