Quoting: Darkdisorder78Yea sorry that doesn't work. It doesn't work in Linux outside of left for dead 2.
Then perhaps you're not setting something up correctly for it, or it's a distro-specific issue.

Here's where you adjust the haptic feedback:

Works without issues for me, on Ubuntu 17.04, always has for as long as I've had it.
So you are saying that the Steam Controller vibrates in Ubuntu 17.04 but not in Steam OS which is based on Debain? Valve once again doesn't know how to market to console players.
Well now I might get what you mean a little more. So Vibration based on in game actions, rather than the general Haptic feedback?
Yea wasn't steam OS marketed to console players? Yea I was talking about haptic feedback. That's a big feature to forget to add. Plus it works in left for dead 2 which is so silly.
Well haptic feedback works perfectly fine on all distributions ive tested.

Vibration based on actions is another story. As the user above me said.

Quoting: m0nt3@laimdawe have you attempted to reach out to the developer for a response? I really want to play this game again, but all I get are big black blocks around models or my screen fills with big red blobs.
Yes, by all available methods, multiple times. They have never once replied to me.

Songbringer, a procedural action RPG released with Linux support, my thoughts

Quoting: buenaventuraDear Liam,

This looks nice! I was just wondering if you think it would be possible to play this with my SNES-controller? Or do you need dual-stick to aim a gun or anything, like in HyperLight Drifter? I prefer to just play with my SNES controller.

Thanks.
A second stick is not required, you can control movement entirely by DPAD if you wish. Everything else is buttons, but it needs shoulder buttons.

Creative Assembly are having a Steam sale, some good Linux games going cheap

Quoting: DuckeenieOn Bundlestars, Warhammer is less than half the Steam price at £11.99.
For anyone who doesn't know, Bundle Stars do not stock keys that allow Feral Interactive (the porter) to get paid, hence the Windows only icon there. The rest of Bundle Stars is good.

Quoting: GuestThis developer is just just lazy and stupid, sure the Linux gaming market is bigger than the mac gaming market. The developer should play Rocket League with Debian testing Xfce and not write shit.
Oh great, a regular Phoronix troll is here now, spreading his bile. I'm sure that you've never written a game that has to run on multiple platforms, or written much of anything, really. Well I have, and I can assure you that there are still issues in the Linux ecosystem. It's getting better all the time, but it's not perfect.

Calling the developer lazy, stupid, and writing shit is not the way to entice people to this platform. Liam posted as such a little while ago. Your kind is not welcome here; go back to trolling Phoronix, or more appropriately, get out of there too.

P.S. Nobody cares that you're using Debian and XFCE. And they are most certainly not the best that Linux has to offer.
This ^. Please don't act like a complete tool "debianxfce". The developer is clearly not lazy, or stupid. They're calmly and openly explaining problems, which gives us and other developers a chance to help. Leave those kind of idiotic comments on reddit.

Quoting: Darkdisorder78But the controller doesn't work in every game.
Works in every game I've tested.

Quoting: Darkdisorder78They have yet to fix a Steam controller bug in Saints Row IV.
Will test that today.

Quoting: Darkdisorder78Plus the part about it hatpic feedback is so pointless unless you are using Windows. It doesnt even work in Steam OS\linux. If I was a linux user I wouldn't buy this controlled.
Eh? It has always worked on Linux. You have to turn it on in the config for each game.

Quoting: elmapulits valve reminding us again that they dont give a shit about the steam machines, but do give about the steam machine killer...
Now now, while no one may really know what they're doing with them, this has nothing to do with Steam Machines. Apart from the obvious, Valve don't control vendors pricing on their systems.

Quoting: GuestThat's a huge discount. Maybe also trying to get ridd of inventory, so they can introduce the next gen versions.
They actually run these sales quite a lot :)
