Quoting: LeopardNetmarket Share statics is doesn't mean anything. They're all looking to Steam Survey and that is right thing to do. Not every user play games on Mac and Linux also even Windows.
No.

There is no right thing to do when it comes to track Linux market share. What you're saying also doesn't really make much sense:
"Not every user play games on Mac and Linux also even Windows."
Exactly, so we should look to other ways to track it, not just the Steam Survey. Steam covers gamers, NetMarketShare is much broader.

Like with all surveys, they are never 100% accurate. People need to keep that in mind, which is why looking at multiple sources is a good bet.

Quoting: Psycic101No Steam login on LoL?
Being worked on, need to get my other account authorised to have a private login key for it, as I don't want to share the GOL Steam login key.

Quoting: M@yeulCEDIT: No way to register with special chars in the username? I must say I am disappointed :(
Nope, we locked that down on GOL ages ago too, pretty sure I emailed you and everyone else asking if we could change your username. Special characters get in the way of certain stuff we might do in future.

Quoting: hardpenguinGreat game that I follow for many years already - I even submitted to GOL some articles about it in the past!

Very fun action multiplayer game (and now also with singleplayer campaign). Definitely recommended.
The developer actually emailed the news in themselves and mentioned it due to us covering it before :)

Quoting: Nor MantisI am hoping in the future GoL and LoL meld together on one big site. I mean, shared logins, shared forums, links at the top leading to each page, etc. I understand going this route and somethings need to be seperate. But one large site covering everyhting Linux would be great in my opinion.
When asked about it, many where concerned about them being all one big site. I decided to keep them separate so no issues affecting one affect the other. It also means I can focus on one when I want to.

And finally, can't please everyone. This is the way it is and I hope people enjoy reading both :)

Quoting: elbuglioneCan you integrate te LifeOnLinux users account with GamingOnLinux User account?
This has been said already in the article and the comments.
Quoting: the articleAbout Logins: For now, logins are entirely separated. Making a login bridge between the two is being researched and something may come of it eventually.

That can be arranged.
