Quoting: CyrilIt looks gorgeous.
But what about DRM-Free release ?
From the comments:
We can not guarantee it as we don't have a deal with GOG finalized at this moment. We certainly hope this campaign will help bringing our game to as many distribution platforms as possible.
It's up to GOG to accept it.

Quoting: liamdaweIt's not the fact that it's VR, but having something like that strapped to your face for a long time and the games themselves, that's what I'm keen to put some time and thoughts into.
I'm curious about how the headsets interact with glasses, personally. I have trouble even wearing headphones, since they crush the posts against my head, so the idea of an obviously much heavier piece of hardware that needs to have room for the lenses themselves (unless they've got SERIOUSLY adjustable focus to compensate I guess) is hard to wrap my head around, so to speak.
As someone who wears glasses too, this is also something I'm keen to know.

We now have an official Ballistic Overkill server

Quoting: OlliCDo you mind sharing your server config? I have problems getting my server listed in the server browser consistently. What did you put for the variable DedicatedBroadcast?
I've hardly changed anything. I set it to dedicated, since it is.

Edit: Servers vanish from the list while changing maps, maybe that is what's confusing you?

Quoting: chepatiLiam, shouldn't the title read "The Linux-supporting MMO..." ? :-)

So your last chance to get the special in-game items for supporting their development is coming up soon.
My understanding was that these items were lootable, so if you want them you can just gank someone who paid for them, is this changing?
Yeah, I just meant getting them with your account :)

Wine-Staging 2.2 released with CSMT speed optimizations

Quoting: GuppyAccording to the source CSMT means 'command stream multithreading'

It might have been good to put that in the the article as I'm sure that's far from common knowledge ;)
Agreed, done.

Thanks for emailing them, here's to hoping they take note of it.

Sadly, as big as GOL is (quite big now in fact), we are still ignored by many.

I'm not sold on the idea of VR myself, so I am looking forward to eventually being able to try one properly to see if it changes my mind. I've heard good things, so I am looking forward to that day.
Did you try Google Cardboard? It's not "the real thing" of course, but with some fantasy, it gives you an idea of what it feels like.
I tried some random iphone VR quite some time ago. One where you slot the phone into a headset and adjust the lenses. Even that was somewhat impressive, so I can't imagine how a Vive must be.

It's not the fact that it's VR, but having something like that strapped to your face for a long time and the games themselves, that's what I'm keen to put some time and thoughts into.

How to record videos on Linux using OBS Studio with separate audio tracks for gameplay and microphone

Quoting: GuestEh? I said oversaturated with "non news", and that "this one" was a guide.
I counted 6 "non news" articles just on the first page.
Well GOL is a community site, not a news portal.
Yeah that's a key point we need to work on communicating better, we aren't just a news website. News is just one of the things we do here.

What I will be looking to do is two things:
1) Allow people to filter out tags from their GOL homepage
2) Have a few featured tabs along the top of the latest articles to quickly go to certain tags like HowTo, Interviews and so on.

Quoting: GuestThis is more of a guide than it is "news".
I'm thinking maybe a new section on the site should be for things like this? Kinda like the twitter/facebook feeds down the side.

I feel the news section is being oversaturated with non news articles.
Eh? I've posted 3 articles that could be classed as guides this entire month. One last month, and before that the last was November 2016.

Respectfully, I completely disagree.
