The Linux version of Arma 3 is set to continue on, and Arma 3 plans to go 64bit

Quoting: lucifertdarkWhy are the bothering with a 32bit version when almost everyone who is likely to want this game is already using 64bit Linux?
There was no 64bit version to port, there still isn't.

Quoting: JahimselfI wonder how the game perform on linux, because if there is a big gap like on alien isolation it may almost impossible to hit the 40fps average on normal settings, even with a GTX1080 on 1080p... It seeems it is one of the worst port of the century on pc, so unless feral find a way to get better perf on linux, it might be very hard to run the game outside the minimum settings.
Huh? Even on my 970 I haven't had any issues with Alien Isolation, don't remember seeing anyone complain about it either.

Quoting: liamdaweDifference of opinion, I love Stellaris, as do many people. I also said space strategy specifically, not strategy as a whole.
Sure, but why? What I am missing?
I'm just a big space and aliens fan, so I love stuff like this.

The game is incredibly easy to learn too, which helps me get into it.

Well, duh? All Feral's ports are native ports.
I thought that they were "semi-native". Anyway, I support their efforts it could be a bad sign if Feral is the only porting house doing all the heavy lifting. VP and Aspyr are still in the game, right?
There is no such thing as semi-native. It's either native or it's not.

What people are talking about when they say such junk is about the use of OpenGL mapping. All porters map the DX calls to OpenGL, rewriting an engine for OpenGL will take far too long.

To be clear, they will all be using it. Just possibly Steam hasn't had the update pushed to it yet, Humble has and GOG have.
