Quoting: GuestYes, it's a small amount of money, and to each their own, but I recommend against donating money to any devs who don't support us. I hope Bethesda comes around to supporting us eventually, though!I'm not donating money. I am paying for a product I can play on Linux.
Quoting: GuestBecause you're encouraging Windows development, so I recommend playing it without donating anything to them if you want to play it, but to each their own. It's not encouraging Windows development to buy an unsupported 14 year old game.

It's not a one size fits all rule. This is a really old game.

Quoting: GuestPlease don't send money to developers who only support Windows.I don't agree to that rule when there's an open source engine available and the game you can buy for it is DRM free from GOG.
Ever.
If you want to play OpenMW then do so, but do not contribute money to anyone who doesn't support your platform. Doing so is the opposite of the kind of encouragement that we need to be giving developers.

I am hoping Steam Dev Days will show a renewed focus on it all, but I have my doubts as it's for Windows and Mac too remember.
It will be interesting to see if they do any presentations on it.

The developers have put up this post [External Link] about it to explain the error about it not being the Director's Cut.. Valve claim it's not possible, but the comments already say otherwise.

The problem isn't how long things are taking, but how Valve should have done more to address issues laid out in the article.

Quoting: Stupendous ManIf that is the case then they need to sort their downloads and advertising out. One of them is wrong then.Quoting: liamdaweIt is the Directors's Cut that is free to play for the weekend, you can see it yourself on the store page directly. On the store page yes, but that's not what gets installed. If you look in the Steam library menu, it says Wasteland 2; had it been the DC, it would say so.
At least this is how it is on my PC, maybe you have been able to get the correct version? I know there are other people on the Steam forums with the same problem.
