I've been sent a key, so looks like I will be doing a thoughts bit on it.

Why should they be illegal? If an employer says, "Here are the terms you must agree to before we'll hire you," and the employee signs on the dotted line anyway then that's on them. Trendy Entertainment is perfectly within its right to enforce a contract that both parties willingly agreed to.
If i sign a contract that says I have to kill myself if I ever leave company x, should that be on me? Stupid example, but you probably get my point. Such clauses shouldn't be allowed. They are from greedy people forcing crap on others. In this case the company is so scared of competition they put that clause in.

It all revolves around a contract, and apparently Jeremy Stieglitz who used to work for Trendy Entertainment and apparently breached it by joining Studio Wildcard to work on ARK: Survival Evolved. Tredy Entertainment seems to require people who leave not to compete with the studio by making games for three years. Personally, I think these sorts of contracts do no good, and I am not a fan of them. I am surprised such a contract is even legal!
I agree a 3 year non-compete is excessive and ridiculous. That said, if he signed that non-compete and then went on to work on another game before the duration expired, then Jeremy is very clearly in the wrong here and I fully expect him to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Apparently he got it moved down to one year, but I still don't agree with it at all even if he did breach it. Breach of stupid rules.

Rog. Can someone confirm? If so, I am buying this game after Liams positive port report.
Doesn't seem like I will be getting a key until after the beta ends, sadly.

I would pick it up myself, but it is a bit pricey for my funds atm.

Quoting: soulsourceI'm wondering: If we buy right now, will this get counted as a Linux or Windows purchase?
Once it has a downloadable Linux version, direct Steam purchases are fine.

The issues arise with people buying before a Linux version is out, or using keys from resellers.

To be honest I would say don't add to much rewards. In my experience this can be contra productive. Just a tip. I'm also now a little patron of yours.. Not much but I have already other open source projects I support monthly ;)

Keep it up guys.
Thanks a lot, it all helps <3

Ive seen people say that, but no one can ever back it up.
It was explained multiple times already. Telegram server is insecure and not FOSS, there is no end to end encryption. I.e. if you want Big Brother to be on the other end, Telegram is an option ;)
Like I said, so is any service that you don't host yourself to know exactly what is happening with the data.

I use Telegram as I like the features and clients.

This isn't a privacy debate either, just pointing out places people can join in and chat or follow the news.

If there was any other way, either discrete ads or views on YouTube, would be happy to give some daily clicks.
No worries dude, it's okay to not be able to :)

If people can't, simply sharing links to the website and our news across your favourite websites helps too :)
