Some games don't like using the right thumbpad as mouse

There is a special mode called Joystick Mouse (or Mouse Joystick, I forget) which was added more recently to get around issues with games that don't like standard Mouse mode alongside other gamepad controls. It works well, considering, but you need to use in-game sensitivity options to tweak it further.

Some games like Shadow of Mordor don't like that mode either, as it still messes things up.

I have to say, performance is disappointing, and I am on an Nvidia 980ti one of the best you can get.

I actually switched over to Mint Cinnamon, and it shows how hilariously bad Unity is with hidpi. Cinnamon has scaled basically everything perfectly.

Well, I am looking at sending it back due to the siren issue anyway. If I bring the resolution for the desktop down to 2560 or whatever, it should be better. Don't think I will need any scaling then?

Not impressed at how long PCSpecialist have kept me waiting on the email.

After struggling with PlayOnLinux, I have ditched it in favour of Crossover now, the UI is much nicer in Crossover so far so good. I only use Wine for Starcraft II as I've loved Starcraft since as long as I can remember, and I stopped my stance of hating Wine a little while ago as it's just too useful for previously owned games.

Might have to sub to Crossover as it's really quite nice.
