The Entroware 'Proteus' Gaming Laptop, Reviewed For Linux

Quoting: pd12As a fellow geek, I'd love to see more numbers in the review (like weight for example), without having to go and google it (it's a review afterall!).
But nice review! Also, some laptops might run on different voltage batteries so it's beast to also note the Wh of the battery capacity as well.
As much as I would like to, I don't have any reliable scales to measure such a thing.

If you have thoughts on one to use that's cheap and reliable other than a random bathroom scale, I would happily look one up.

There's no point in supporting developers who refuse to look at your platform. Trine, Trine 2, Torchlight 2, Dying Light, Borderlands 2, etc; buy these games if you enjoy them. Because these developers actually do think of us as a consumerbase. Windows exclusives? Nah, you're not their customer, you never will be.

On the other hand, if you just want to throw around money, I can set up a donation button somewhere so you can send me money.
Exactly, don't support them. Don't go pirating whatever software they have just because they don't support a platform, and then come her gloating about your own pirating.

We do NOT support piracy. It's really that simple.

Linux user first, gamer second.

I have a PS3 and PS4 for "blockbusters", and apart from Mordor which I will buy again on Linux as I didn't complete it, AAA games are always traded in as they are full of issues, and most of the time, crap over hyped by a publisher bull.

So, i'm not even sure why I have my PS4 right now :/

President Of Blizzard Responds To The Linux Petition, Petition Owner Creates Childish Response
11 Mar 2015 at 1:10 pm UTC Likes: 3

Quoting: reaVerHaving been a Linux gamer for over 15 years now, I very well know and understand the petitioner's frustration and I can very well understand why he's writing in the tone he has. And after this long of a while, even after repeated resources show that the Linux market can be profitable, to essentially get the finger (because that is what Blizzard did) the petitioner is well within his rights to send it right back at them.
How long you have been a Linux gamer isn't an issue, and it doesn't mean anything, to anyone. Neither does how long I've been one (but it has been a number of years for me obviously as well).

I love the Blizzard games, but I wouldn't even think of acting the way he did, and certainly not in public on the petition I would be trying rally support for.

Quoting: reaVerSo I'm hoping you'd bring at least a little more understanding to the petitioner's situation. He's putting in a great deal of effort, he gets belittled by almost everyone everywhere and gets an additional kick in the nuts for good measure. For you people to stab him in the back because you don't like his tone is extremely disrespectful.
A little more understanding? Some random guy pastes his petition everywhere, so we decided (against my better judgment, and only because regular people visiting GOL requested it) to post an article on it to our front page, and thus giving our support of it.

That tiny petition got an open and honest response from none other than the President of Blizzard, and the petition owner responds with what he did, how exactly should we understand?

Yes I understand the developers at Blizzard are mere mortals, but the mere mortals at Techland, Aspyr and others have much more heart for their cause; which is something this blog should emphasize if anything.
We give everyone equal footing. No developer is above or beneath another simply because they don't feel we make business sense just yet.
