StarDrive 2, A 4X Strategy Game Released For Linux, Some Thoughts

Sadly, the game will no longer launch for me with the latest patch :(

This has been reported to the developer on twitter, and on the Steam forum.

Quoting: abelthorneWhat if you had plans for Deus Ex: Human Revolution? Would you tell us with THE REQUESTINATOR? ;)
THE REQUESTINATOR is no place for tellings. It's the machine we use to gather porting requests. We'll put DXHR for Linux in there for you, and if it gets processed it'll make a special combination of whirring and clickity-clackety sounds.
So this your post/image isn't about games being announced but ports people request then (hence the red herring, I'd guess?). Guess the post here needs updating.
No, all this is completely different to their facebook requestinator thingies.

Yes it's the same guy, and no update that I know of other than it's delayed due to Linux users trolling the developer.

Hint: Be nice to developers.

The GOL Nouveau Experiment – Conclusion

Sadly it will still be some time until I can use these drivers on a 970, and by then I'm sure there will be much better cards out for me to grab.

Quoting: liamdaweNo, there are no proprietary drivers for Intel (I usually make a joke about that). The survey allows people to answer "incorrectly" for that one since I don't know how to prevent it. I assume that it's basically just Intel users who assume that their drivers are proprietary because they've never looked into it. Just shows that not all Linux users are super clued-up about that stuff, I kinda like it, breaking stereotypes or whatever :).
Hmm, use the term closed source then and don't be ambiguous.

Downloading the official packaged drivers from Intel here [External Link] would fit some descriptions of proprietary [External Link].
Downloading there still gives you open source drivers, so I don't see the issue.
