Quoting: GuestTorchlight II have better performance in Linux than Windows, it loads much faster and i get more FPS. Glorious port.
Agreed! @ 1080p it seems to be running really well. I have "crazy" specs so it is hard to say if the port is good or bad. I however, am nearly positive that an amazing GOL headline article is incoming though. :D
Oh, I should probably do a port-report on Torchlight II, I guess...

I'm more eager to see how SteamOS machines will be represented in the survey after they are released.

Quoting: scotsman9999Just as I feared would happen eventually, on the sale page the icon for Linux is no longer Tux but the generic circled Steam logo. Does "Linux" still scare devs that Valve has to cover it up with 'SteamOS' now? I do worry that eventually this will turn into another Android situation where we don't get much of a benefit.
Yeah I spotted that too... A bit disappointed really.

Luckily though we're already benefiting a lot and will continue to benefit thanks to SteamOS (lots of games, new API, lots of supported game engines, etc.). It's just a shame that it won't be as beneficial as possible, but I would call those things pretty beneficial all in all.
We will see the difference when support is denied because you're not using SteamOS or Ubuntu but any other Distribution.
Aspyr already do this, try to get support on an Aspyr title when you use Mint like me for example. Their reply is they only support Ubuntu and SteamOS.

Quoting: maodzedunI'm plenty pissed at Valve for holding the controller YET AGAIN. They promised us to have it for sure by the end of this month. The only reason we've not getting it is because somebody said: "Hey let's sell a glorified antenna for 50 bucks, but hold the controller for 7 more months or nobody would actually bother to buy the Steam Link". This is bullshit.
What? Valve never said we would have the controller at the end of this month. Steam Link probably wont be released until November either.

You really need to calm down.
