Personally I am a big fan of RotT and think it's a quality game, but the others don't interest me.
I hope they do stick around and keep porting like they say they will.
That blog post that came up is full of truths, we are worth bugger all to any company when we pay so little and expect so much.

Something to remember is this is already a finished game, so it doesn't need artists, level designers, story developers or any of that.
Everything is in place, so it just needs someone to come in to move it all around to support Linux. Very different to a game that's in-development.

Puppy Games Aren't Impressed With Linux Sales (UPDATED)

It's odd as in January of this year they had 5% of Linux sales from Steam as they told us in http://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/linux-game-sales-statistics-from-multiple-developers.2963
I guess it levelled out after a few more months, but they still get more than a lot of developers we spoke to.
Also they aren't about to stop supporting Linux, but they feel right now it's not profitable.

Updated it to include their tweet to me about it being Steam only, and a quote from reddit about the Humble Bundle.

We are according to this survey around 1%, so this is how statistics work. Also it's 75 not 7 million ;)

I think this month is best served as a test to get kinks out and ideas.
Next month we can look to use google as suggested.

Steam Hardware Survey For August 2014, Linux Slips

Quoting: subIt was a statement of fact to remind people to take it with a grain of salt since it's a survey, and not a full statistic.Let's face it we know they don't survey 100% of their user base, only a small fraction of it, so bear that in mind as well. Not sure if you're implying that this is a potential reason for the low Linux user number.
It's perfectly fine and understandable that Valve does not survey the full user base. I guess it has been said many times already but: taking samples is absolutely valid as long as the probability to get surveyed is equal among all users, i.e. there is no systematic bias towards a platform. Yes, increasing the sample size reduces the uncertainty, but I assume Valve makes a reasonable choice concerning the sample size.

Personally I would prefer an opt-out for everyone over an opt-in for a % of the userbase.
It will never happen though as privacy people would kick up a stink about it I'm sure.
It's a shame that traditional consoles can do it so easily by simple things like tracking the amount actually sold, or just releasing the number of people signing into their online services.
